it seems like it only cools the very centre of the disc... wouldn't it be better to have a duct cool the outer edge of the disc where the pads make contact or even ducting cool air into the the cooling vanes in the centre of the rotor? I reckon make somthing like a caliper that goes over both sides and the top of the rotor then duct cool air from the front bar into that... just my thoughts.

they do spray water onto the brakes of a DTM car but only when they are coming into pitlane as stopping with red hot brakes causes fade when they return to the track or so the article i found said. Also those truck they race pump water onto the brakes all the time.

I have also found some 3" 12 volt fans that are used in nascar to cool brakes down. They are place in the brake ducting and will move 145CFM i think that would help.

used to run water cooling in f1 as well as a way to beat minimum weights....they'd get weighed with 30kg of water on board then dump it on the brakes nice and early, then run around 30kg lighter  I still think there is a god chance of cracking them though

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
