so nick...i heard u got it retuned, or is this just a rumour?

o did you now lol yep it did

soooooooooooooooo after being totally disgusted with my past tune in more ways than one i took the car to a professional JEM (Adam) an not a self proclaimed prodigy as i did be for.

after taking 20 deg of timing out of the tune and fixing all the holes and flat spots and much much more errors the car is perfect.

things jem did for me

Tune the car in the way it was supposed to be done from the beginning.

engine protection set up with oil press, inlet temp and wide band sensor

wire meth to map sensor

wire press sensor

install wide band

replace temp sensor

new plugs

road tune after dyno with me driving

and a total respect from beginning to end of the customer and all done in 2 days not 16 days

all this for a $400 more than my worst experience ever who did F/A

turbo spools much earlier boost is much smoother it makes 200 odd nm of torque more a/f ratio is 11.8 be for it was 12.8

end result it a well tuned 356kwatw with 913 nm or 672.7 ftlb @ 8200 rpm

take me for a spin take me for a spin lol :action-smiley-069::action-smiley-069::action-smiley-069::action-smiley-069:

me me me me

sounds good to me will find some time with marko and who ever won't one day

Wow, sucks to hear the old tune was THAT bad... Flags raised for me from things you mentioned though, so really glad you took it to JEM who yet again convince me that they are a class act, and glad it happened before damage wad done! Congratulations on a good result :-)

thanks, i was told that im lucky the engine is still alive,or even running with the settings i compared i am totally shocked,

i should really be given back my money for all the bullshit i went through

So did Adam do a back to back run with the old tune? Would have been good to see an overlay of both

IMO if JEM is capable of tuning the ATCC GIO GTR, they know what they are doing...this is when JEM gained my respect

Great to see u are finally happy after a very long and rough run nick

  • 2 years later...

valve springs, rear arms ,fuel setup: rail ,injectors, fuel pump,e85 solenoid, diff gears to 3.9, gtx3582r ,sinco manifold ,wastgate ,seats, and more shit i can't remember

That Sinco manifold is a true work of art and it's not only me that thinks this....I've never seen such good fabrication!

Hey Nick, what is the puff of smoke towards the end of that run from rear cabin view? Is that when u hit the Flux Capacitor injection :)

    • Yes I can see how that would put you off HFM, especially with the price of good quality brake fluid. From what I understand it as you say the BM50 is the standard BMC for a R32 GTR, I must admit I would like to go far a Genuine Nissan BM57, but lack of cash prevents that at present. With the price being so close between the genuine BM50 and BM57 a BM57 New it seems a better choice as you gain that 1/16 bore size with the BM57, I would be interested in how much difference you feel with the BM57 fitted. I am going to take SteveL's advice in the short term and see how much actually comes out of that proportioning valve vent and save up for the Genuine Nissan part. Thanks for clarifying the HFM failure
    • Thanks mate. I just got the post inspection 1/2 done from state roads when the starter motor packed up, either that or the car alarm system is having trouble.  OEM part number 23300-AA112.
    • Hi, I though I was coming to an end in finding a replacement starter motor for a rb25de neo. I came across a starter motor from Taarks and a message below stating: Direct fit. 11 Tooth count. All below part numbers have been superseded to 11 teeth. Can some body shed some light on going from 8 teeth to 11 teeth apart from 36-month / 25,000 km warranty for passenger vehicles to 12 Month Warranty. Compatible with the following Nissan part numbers: 23300-20P00 23300-20P01 23300-20P05 23300-20P10 23300-20P11 23300-AA111 23300-AA112 23300-AA300 23300-08U10 23300-08U11 23300-08U15
    • Low battery? Maybe check capacity? I know first-hand, on BMWs if your battery drops below 80% capacity, it starts causing strange issues.
    • 8.5 +37 = should fit rear, but I think it'll hit on front. What you want is low 30s/high 20's front, mid 30's rear. That 17" screenshot you posted looks good, I'd run it on my R32 (but that's long dead now). For tyre sizes, my rule of thumb is: 8': 235, 9": 255. But that's just my opinion. Nismo sizes: 18x8.5+35/18x9.5+38 is a good starting point.
