My jaw literally just dropped when I saw the above photo! :)

That is INSANE!!! :(

*edit, just read the last page.

mmm rx photos! that 787b monster would be incredible to hear and see it in the flesh. err metal.

As for pissing off the neighbours.. 3 weeks or so ago I had dog shit thrown at my garage door and squished under the roller door and into the handle/lock :) haha ratbags, I will be getting them back as I know who they are (have complained a numerous times  ) its not like i sit and rev the car at 2am and hoon in my street (there are lots of kids that play in my street)

Last encounter I had with them they said they are going to report me to the epa, I said go ahead take my rego and pointed to and empty space where my licence plate should be. (its a track car, no rego) they wern't very amused haha

Im thinking about shitting in their letterbox.

the pan speed car is a winner for sure. but that thing is so farking loud. even for a rotor it's mental. I remember seeing it at tsukuba and I thought I'd watch one session from up in the stands. the whole stand literally shook as it came around and I was deaf for about 2 days. a hot japanese girl asked me if I wanted a blow job and I said no thanks cause I thought she said 'get a real job'... the only jap circuit car I've heard that's as loud is the tracey sports nsx. I swear those two cars are not just running without mufflers, they must have added some kind of 'loudener'.

many moons ago when I was living at home some cops came round one Sat arvo...

I walk outside to see them inspecting my old 33... started to chat to them and apparently a neighbour had dobbed us in as we had a loud car that was waking them up in the morning... I asked them what time and they said approx 5:30am... There was no way it was me as I never get up that early so I took them out the back to show them my dad's old Alfa Giulia GTC... they just laughed and asked to hear it... I gave it a few revs for them and they said nice car and left promptly lol... that car is seriously loud, I did used to feel a bit sorry for the neighbours! lol made my 33 sound positively quiet in comparison :)

Ha - and you guy laughed at my 20B......

S12 Gazelle makes slow progress:

After getting it back from the workshop to have a seized pinion bearing (scary at 80kph on the road) - The live rear axle and locka is coming out and a full R32 IRS with LSD is going in.

Brand new KKK K26 turbo is on - The K27 was tooooo big - bogged down cause no boost between gears

I should be on the track soon.

Whats the deal with track days these days ?

How much is the Super G in the UK?

20k makes me think i should just pony up the cash. LOl only i have no idea how bad a T88 13B would be. If it had a T67 i woudl seriously buy it for my trip to Spa and the Ring in 3 weeks.

You just need to convince Snowie that we are better then a 50:50 of the car lasting 3 days :P

Going against it are the std rebuild 13B. Spacers on the rims and seemingly absence of an oil cooler. Oh, and its only running 8psi so lag, lag, lag then fark all up top with only 8psi. But fark it would still sound cool and looks wild! As is 15K so i have a few bob to throw a smaller GT35R or something on it

This one is the better buy and safer bet it woudl last 3 days of track driving and some fun cruising through on awesoem roads...but, of course it is considerably more money, enough to rule it out.

Well I can't back you up mate as my 13B wouldn't last 3 days on the street without braking down on me! :P But that was a dodgy tune/injectors so I don't blame the engine itself.

How much power is it making with the 8psi? Stock rebuilt 13B inside?

I thik it would be awesome, but yeah, to be on the safe side the rental may be the go especially if you're flying from OZ. But I'd still buy it if I were you! :P But I did buy a 550hp RX-7 as my daily within 3 months of getting my licence, so I wouldn't listen to me.

I can't believe you looking at RX7s troy. don't tell me i've been a good influence with all my talk of how long my RX7 has been between engine swaps? yeah I reckon it'll last 3 days of you and snowclown. you're both pretty soft really. the T-hachi-hachi would be pretty gay though unless you can crank the boost to about 25psi and the rev limit to about 10,000rpm. in that case make sure you ask for the first lap as that's about all you'll get! it will leave 2 nice black lines all the way round the ring. and another thin brown line all the way around your ring....

S14 is probably a safe bet. but the SR20 is not exactly the powerhouse of reliability either and an S2000 is an awesome engine wrapped in a massively camp car. perfect for you 2 fun boys to get around in with the top down looking like a pair of gay german tourists in town for a nambla convention. nothing is camper than two blokes in a convertible. it might get you back to dance central in hamburg in time to see kraftwerk. just mind the cd stacker in ein trunk dumpkopf.

just take over your bigger TD06 set-up in hand luggage and chuck that on the RX7. nice punchy 250rwkw it will be good.

    • The fab work can be as simple as a couple of silicon hoses and clamps to the factory piping.
    • Just sounds like either way you need to do some fab work to get everything to fit, so why limit yourself at that point? If the GCG high flow option is zero effort in and out swap though I'd probably do that. It's almost certainly lowest risk, lowest cost, etc. The HKS GTIII-RS option that Kapr mentioned is laughably expensive for what it is, they charge the exact same for two turbos on the RB26 so their margins are off the charts on that thing.
    • Intake manifold is not a part of the issue. The turbo bolts to the exhaust manifold. That is easy. But close your eyes and picture the physical situation. That is a T3 flange on the manifold and a T3 flange on the turbo. As long as any new turbo has a T3 flange on the exhaust housing, that exhaust housing will bolt to the exhaust manifold. This places the exhaust housing in the same place as the stock one. But now move your mental attention a little further forward. The location of the compressor housing is set by the length of the turbo's core. The stock turbo had a long core. Let's say that it is..... 100mm long. So that would place the compressor housing 100mm forward of the exhaust housing. But a highflow, might well have a centre core that is shorter. Let's say that it is only 70mm long. Now the compressor housing will be 30mm further back in the engine bay than the stock one. This DOES move the turbo's compressor outlet backwards. It also moves the compressor's inlet backwards. You will very likely have to do some work to both the inlet and outlet piping to make everything connect again. I am not say this to make it out to be a bigger deal than it is. I am just pointing out that "bolt on" is sometimes not quite bolt on. The highflow from GCG that Murray linked above (https://gcg.com.au/turbo-charger-upgrade-skyline-gtst-2iu-xtrgts-s1.html ) uses a core that is the same length as the stock core, and so does not require this extra work. It will look very much like the stock turbo. No-one uses GTR turbos of any flavour (stock, or aftermarket) in a single turbo application on RB20/25. It's not a thing. Yes, people have been putting on GT3076, GTX3076 (and bigger and smaller versions of those) and G30s (of various sizes) onto RB20/25 since forever. But these are not "bolt on". Everything except the 4 bolts to the exhaust manifold change with these. And genuine Garretts are expensive. Non-gen, like Pulsar, etc, are cheaper, variously as good or nearly as good. But still not bolt on. No-one in the right mind would pay for an HKS turbo. Not in this modern day and age. Well, yes, the GCG highflow. You could ask HG what he can do to make the compressor housing sit in the original location. There are surely others doing highflows around the world. And some of the eBay/Temu ones (as reported by Dose) work and don't die. Bit of a lottery though. I would send your turbo to GCG (here in Oz) to be highflowed if you want a trivial no-extra-work option. But seriously, the work required to change inlet and outlet piping is not that hard. That's a boost control problem, not a turbo problem.
    • Thank you all for the replys 🙂 I know that intake would be different but that is one pipe at it is not that hard to get(custom one). I meant mainly bolt to the stock manifold and the turbo elbow. I looked and many sites/forums but they are just "old" with some old HKS turbos from GT-R i guess? What about some Garrets?  Or any other turbo? Is there even a turbo which i can just bolt on? 😄 And yeah i know about that new HKS but that is like 2000k USD without taxes/shipping in here   Iam getting a touch up tune but my "problem" is that on the "not" hot day iam getting peaks around 0,9 bar...and when it was around 15 Celsious i saw peak around 1 bar which is just too much for stock turbo. And of course turbo is old and i like to get some new one for a piece of mind 🙂
    • I'm working on the assumption that our friend Jasmine here is a Russian (or, possibly Ukrainian) spammer/spambot, based purely on the number of such that I have been having to neuter in the last few weeks. IP address for the OP above was in WA. But that could have been via VPN. Posting at quarter to 4 in the morning is a good sign of being from somewhere in Europe. The last Jasmine that I kicked in the cooch was IP addressed in Ukraine. Even that could have been via VPN, and the bitchbot could have been from Russia, Serbia, China or anywhere. Regardless, was a spambot, so I killed it with fire. The fact that our new friend Jasmine here did not respond in any way to my tart query strongly suggests to me that this OP was just the establishment phase of a user able to be activated for spamming in a week, or 3 or 10.
