I haven't Chris sorry!

Now, what about this? Yes, I know it's a 4 door, but does anyone know what brand these rear flares are?

get em off jap yahoo etc for about $200 they are mostly all the same modelled off 260z ones as fair as i know.. justjap etc just buy them in and sell em for $350 or so

Thoughts lads? The dollar being strong gets these delivered at under $2k in 18 x 10.5. Weighing 8.93kg each.

They really are cheap ey! I've been thinking of them. Can almost buy 2 sets for the cost of TE's!

That looks nice :) lol

Thanks Damo..... I think you should tell Benny to jam it for a bit and come spend a month up here.... free board, food, and piss

yep i like that idea. ive never been that far north. i should have come up for toolies.

i just have to finish my car first. see you in a few months.

on the guard front "bolt on" flairs wont do the job by its self. most of the drift buys hack away all the guard under the flair or wide body guard. i have a few differnt sets of flairs in the shed waiting to go on. one set is a S13 set and they dont fit all that nice. i actualy got some flairs off an early celica supra. but thers a heap of work to get them rigth to.

if you find someone with the right skils a propper metal flaired guard will be just as good as any bolt on flair and more practical.

Do it Ben! RPF1 is one of my Fav wheels!

i likeis too. its funny as they have been around for a few years but have only just become "fashionable" i think it just takes one persons with the right car and the right size rim to really set a wheel off.

the TE37 has been around for years and then one day they were the best rim you could get. then the work XD9. but i think that the pan speed does wonders advertising the volk CE28Ns. if that car never came out wearing them than i dont think people wuld like them at all. i think the current style is dish but with a modern spoke designe where as a few years back it was the tapered spoke of the te37s and lmgt4s that rained supreme.

I'm with you there Dane, both are timeless.

I priced the Forged Advans that are on Berry's thing.... hmmm, too rich for me at around $1k per corner.

Anyone know where to buy Volk the cheapest? TE37 is still the stongest wheel available, their later stuff pales next to them.

I'd really like a forged wheel as Giant tells me I'm "hard on the gear"..... but not if they're twice or thrice the price!

And sorry I've kinda taken over the thread on this subject.... I don't think it warrants a thread of its own

Edited by Marlin

Yahoo auctions would be your best bet for TE's Ben. You should be able to pick some up second hand in good condition, but would still be more than the Enkei's me thinks.

If not, then perhaps some NT03's??

You are Hard on the gear.. Admit it!

If its pure cosmetics then its up to the individual. But if you want the best track rims then sadly its TE37, GT4 or in 17" TC05s. They are forged, light, durable, and have the biggest internal clearances for brake setups and lower temperatures in operation. CE28s dont clear brakes as well, ditto the Enkei range of wheels. It sux that all the Work rims are pretty much heavy cast jobbies with sh1thouse brake clearance.

I have never tried the NT03, so would be interesting. I would love a set but they are carnts to clean.

So, as much as i dont rate TE37s, since Marlin and Bel180, Baron have MY TC05s, which in 17s actually clear some 355mm brake setups....well its what I am running

I can hand them back to ya mate if you really want them?

And Timmy, do you really think so? I thought when we used to chat in the car you said I was really smooth? Or were you referring to something else? Maybe my chest? Or with the laaaaadiies?

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
