seeing as its out of reach for most it may be more constructive to speculate on whats going to happen to the prices of the current and previous generations of GTR's...

any thoughts?

The pricing for the new GTR seems reasonable considering all the hype that has been going on leading up to the launch...anyone who was contemplating or can afford an R34 GTR at 70K would definately be considering the newer option...

On the other hand, the price of 34GTRs will probably drop a fair bit making it affordable to 33 and 34GTT owners to upgrade :D

so wat are the differences (except for the price) between the base model and 'hispec' model?

i thought there was three:

a base model

a V-Spec

and an Evolution?

i heard that the Evolution model had 400kw or so?

i read that somewhere.....dont quote me.

I think those prices are good for what you get....however whether or not nissan struggles to sell them remains to be seen. Yes there are a lot more people earning bigger bucks these days but Nissan will have to be able to sway them from brands such as porsche etc.

My understanding about the differences between the two models does justify the prices difference. Unconfirmed of course but I hear rumours of around about 100ps/hp power hike....lightweight interior and possibly cage.....bigger brakes/wheels and other enhancements.

As for what it will do to the pricing of 34/33/32 gtrs it will be interesting....IMHO I think the 34 price will drop but 33/32's won't be affected as much.

I think, from what I remember reading, the Evolution model is coming out something like 2 years later and so they haven't set its price yet.

The R32 GTR sold for $110,00 and that is in 1992 ( Im pretty sure, maybe 1991).

They only bought in 100 and could not even sell all of them, they struggled to shift the last few!

Relatively that was a lot of money back then (is today as well) plus the recession was caining everyone 18% interest rates :S

what are we all going to talk about once the car is released? there will be no more guessing... spy shots... wishful thinking

all it will be in hearing about some rich mofo who has bought one and brings it on cruises occassionally... just like when the 34 gtrs were very rare and $110k plus

I remember reading the same thing

But still.. 135 is not bad when you consider the new M3 is about 150 or so by the time we see it. I would expect the evo to be about the 150k when it comes out.

As for how many they will sell, hard to say. Depends on what you wanted. If you wanted the badge and did not care for absolute performance then you would go an M3 or Boxster, but if you wanted the fastest, then you'd go the GTR?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
