Oh I forgot to mention Brisby and my special friends....

THE HAMSTERS!!

Those little fellas worked so hard all weekend to keep the silver bullet running, there were a few moments of touch and go where we thought they hadn't quite made it through the night but sure enough they came back, i'm sure the little fellas are having a well deserved rest (if they haven't passed away, if they have passed away may the little guys RIP!).

Excellent work guys (and all the other SAU guys who entered)...

Really impressive work taking out outright victory! :)

Hopefully you guys get a bit more air-time on "the car show" this time around.. Would be good to see some vids of your runs! :)

Hey Dom...have to say i was scared the owner was going to knock my teeth out for passing him the way i did. Hurt my time a little but most of all was one to tell the 18yr old girls about. But also a big congrats to you on your result as well :)

See drugs in sport do have a place. Those little fellas were so loaded on EPO, steroids, growth hormone and plenty of burn ointment. So big thanks to the fellas, they are welcome to come help me out at the next track day if their burns have healed

The real test. Im hoping Team Gatecrasher get more airtime then that Blue R34 and Sexpo R33. I suspect one of the drivers will be getting air time

Words can only say so much.....

BIG congrats to Snowy and Blaise, supreme effort and driving. :)

Congrats also to Chris and Adam for not giving up (not merely surprised) and turning it up a few notches to stage a massive comeback and a great result.

Also well done to Troy, Juz, Ryan, Jarrod and James for their star performances. Absolutely an awesome effort by all.

My apologizes for not turning up on Sunday, but family and work (on-call) unfortunately have to come first :) .

Can't wait to catch up with all of you, and hopefully see some great footage.

Time for some vids - Check this one out.

The SPC carpark event is one of the "big pressure" events because all the locals come out for a look and the whole field is watching you. It's an event you love to hate, but love it once you nail it. I'm always sh1tting myself before this one!

More vids to come once I get a chance.

Alright - I'm half back from the dead. I still don't have a voice but I don't need one to type :)

What a super weekend. I still can't fully believe we won the Dutton Rally. When I did my first one back in 2004 the people up at the pointy end were awe inspiring to me. And even though last year Chris and I came a very resepectable 6th outright we both knew we were still a long way off 1st. So yeah - wow! :)

There's a bunch of people that are responsible for this result though that I'd like to thank.

Firstly a guy who really donesn't need any more smoke blown up his ass - but Benno and the boys from Racepace have given me the best car for the job. I know he likes to build his fast track cars and he thinks some of this dinky stuff me and chris like to do is wasted on GT-R's but he knew what I wanted and has given me the ultimate rocketship for the job. It meant all we had to do was not make a mistake and the car pretty much did the rest.

My little mate Scotsman for the great job on painting the rims. The car certainly looked cool with the new shoes even if it will be going back to bronze shortly. But also thanks for being the main person that has brought me to this level of driver. We've had a lot of fun running DECA's and doing track days and have always pushed each other from the start to get faster and faster. Your day at the top of one of these is just a matter of time.

My sponsors Austech Wire and Cable and Vinidex for helping to pay the bills. :P

SAU for being without question the coolest car club in Vic. These events are even more fun now given the crew we have along and the fun attitude everyone brings. I know Blaise and I were certainly able to keep our heads together with the support of everyone over the weekend. Special thanks need to go to Bec and Rachael for driving the support wagon around for us all weekend too.

Finally to my co-driver Blaise. You drove like a gun mate. Your results meant I just had to concentrate on not making mistakes rather than trying to drive real fast. Your a talent and I'm glad your on my team

But it was a top effort from TEAM SAU all round - including Marlin who did a bloody brilliant job in the White R34 given it was his first Dutton and given he's used to sitting mainly in the passenger seat rather than the drivers seat.

Anyways - nearly time for me to go back to bed. See you all soon.

Nice one brothers. Great to see the SAU level of talent growing each year. Its also good to see all of the time and practice you've put into your yourselves and the development into your cars pay off.

Congrates to all of you.

Hey crew,

well from the man that made the most long winded acceptance speech, there was one crew that I forgot to include...... YOU GUYS!! Without a doubt you were all the highlight of my time in motorsport when I lived in Vic and are still keeping it real and keeping the focus on fun 1st and results second. In particular Bec, you are amazing. If you aren't the backbone of SAU vic then you are at least one of the other major bones. :) The support you gave to Snowdaddy and myself on the weekend was invaluable and really allows us to focus on the job at hand. You definately played a key role in the result. And in general, great to catch up with the rest of the gang. Fun times always guaranteed and countless laughs... From a competition side the standouts for me wre the dorifto R33 GTR of Scotsman and Handbags. Some awesome driving fellas, and when you choose to drive a little more sensibly like old man snowballs and me a Dutton win is in the bag for you guys. Ryan and big birds performance in the Sil80 was inspriational. So tidy and fast. Really put it up a lot of far superior hardware. And last but not least the RB20 widow maker. What a fricken handful. Hats off to Brisby an Juz for super driving in what must be an incredibly challenging car. And Brisby even driving in his state on Sunday was a miracle. If you ever needed to retard detonation in a car, Brisbies breath would have been just the trick. Finally, Snowdaddy, thanks for providing such an awesome car. Made my job easy and made me look good. I so want to sell my evo and get a GTR...but would probably have to throw in a few useful organs to make up the difference. And your driving performance was brilliant. Have never seen someone so sick rise above it. You had to see some of the stuff coming out of this guys head during one of his midnight "possessed by the devil" moments. There were some really wrong brown stains on his pillow and sheets sunday morning...I swore he shat the bed...But then it was on the pillow...so that would mean the shit came from his mouth??? :-)

Tops weekend guys. Hopefully make it over for another wang weekend at DECA or somethign in the future...

    • Before starting any work, we attempted to adjust the tune. However even after adjusting it to certain extremes like completely stopping fuel, it had no effect. What fixed it was removing the Nistune Board and installing the original EPROM instead. This immediately fixed the issue. Everything should have been fine with the Nistune Board installation, so I am unsure why it has caused a problem. The soldered connector is also properly soldered. This worked when I first got the 550cc injectors, before cleaning, but that may have been a coincidence.  We ended up not installing the fuel pump hanger (at least for now). So currently running stock injectors, stock fuel pump, stock fuel pump hanger – Well everything stock except the exhaust. Now I have around €1400 in Nistune, Injectors, and Hanger collecting dust for the time being, perhaps I'll install them in the future. For now I'll enjoy the car as is 😁 Thanks a lot for all your assistance, I really appreciate all the help you have given me.
    • The turbo can’t be the issue. They’re proven to make much much power than you’re making. There is something in the setup that isn’t correct. - has the exhaust got any silly step downs? - what exhaust manifold?
    • Ok, just the way you wrote it made it look like you had the stagger the wrong way around
    • I was getting anxious with the DVLA not knowing if the paperwork is fine or not, so I rang them. No update had been given, but I  was reassured that providing the box was ticked on the V750 then the application will go through fine. I've been checking the DVLA website pretty much every day, in the hope that it would have been done. Fast forward to Monday 29th  and I was greeted with a new screen on the check, and it finally showed as Taxed and MOT'd, woohoo! The car was in desperate need of a clean, not knowing when this day was coming it was put off. As far as I was concerned I had another 3 weeks  I'm not normally one for using snow foam, but I wanted to give it another try It hasn't cleaned up too bad considering it's 21 years old and lived on a boat for a number of weeks. The personalised number plate is J2 XBK, an illegally spaced number plate would have it read J2X BK. BK could either represent  the colour black or Baker, which is my surname. I filmed the first drive, the Youtube link will be at the end. I used the same driving route I did with the 323F V6 when I had a new exhaust installed, heres a couple of photos A few more since then Youtube video can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjkFHPzjGDw
