Thats the drivers side. Maybe because there is more pressure in bank two due to the return flow regulator being on that side (I think it is)?

Thats my 2c!

But that would not explane why it threw up the fault code would it?

There is only one O2 sensor on the turbo, bank one. It is seeing a lean condition and can't add enough fuel to compensate.

If the o2 sensor was buggered it could cause this along with bad fuel economy, it needs to be checked for oscillation, otherwise you should do as Cam mentioned and check the filter and fuel pump.

After doing some googling some other things that popped up with this code were:

MAF, vac leak, PCV and the fuel filter as Cam said.

Scotty:

Fuel economy has been ok, well as good an an M35 can be. Have not seen a spike as such.

When you mention the O2 sensor do you mean the one on the dump yes? If it was this would it not effect both banks not just throw up an error on bank 1?

FYI: The issue came about from normal driving conditions in peak hour, not giving it much stick at all. When I got home I checked the fault code and then cleared it, ran the car for 5-10 min and it has yet to come backl.

Cheers.

There is only one o2 sensor (the one in the dump), bank one is it's name. The 3.5's have bank one and two as they run twin o2 sensors. If it doesn't come back you may be fine.

O2 sensors only have an 80,000k life so there is a good chance it needs changing anyway.

Genuine.

Have the books and also the de-reg papers that show the kms every time it was serviced and everytime it was registered. When I received it the kms were only at 29XXX.

Yeah I paid a bit more for it but got a very clean car, inside and out. I have seen other M35's, most other M35's I have seen have very dirty under carriage and engine bays. This is so clean you could eat off any surface, the previous owner must of only drove it once in a blue moon.

Cool, good to hear. Mine had genuine 59k on it with de reg paper and also was very clean under the car and engine bay. Only problem I found was a chocolate milk stain on the back seat from kids. When I removed the rear seat I found little girls hair clips and collector cards, so was deffinately the family wagon.

Hi everyone

a +38 offset will sit inside an ARX more? 18x8

if will, can I run bolt on spaces to make it sit flash?

The spacers you buy will have to be custom if the wheels you are fitting are stock. This is due to the hub centering ring on the hub and groove in the wheel being the same. Normally when running a bolt on spacer you are using aftermarket wheels which have a larger bore and that's what off the shelf spacers centering hub on the wheel side will allow for.

Hope that makes sence...

Actually, most of the off the shelf spacers will have both hub centering bore/rings the same size.

If you go different hub bore size on new wheels; it's normally up to you.

The thinnest custom spacer I've ever machined for a Nissan with hub centering rings on the outside, and matching bores on the inside is 8mm; anything below that, and the centering ring on the outside has no material behind it.

I've never seen an off the shelf spacer with centering bore/rings thinner than 10mm, so Rafael should be ok.

Could you please point me in the direction of these as most places I've been to in Adelaide only stock ones with a 66.1 inner but a 73.1 or other outer meaning you can't space out stock wheels.

    • thanks for the advice on the box... i was thinking the 6 speed was better for cruising on the highway but on closer inspection and comparison the Rb 5 speed box was not too different...  So the choice is going to be the RB25 box... if I can save up and find one at the right price
    • Thanks Matt, yes that's what i am aiming for. Just going to apply the right voltage and grounds to the dash connector. Hence my search for these pins... any chance you know if these pins are in the same spot as the ones on the S15 Dash connector? as mentioned above on page 8?
    • Yes, unfortunately that's the one. Signal was noisy to begin with; after driving once and looking back at the logs I saw pressure constantly swinging between 0-200psi, or staying at 0 randomly for a few seconds. There's a lot of good sensors that share the same look and feel, so don't presume they're all bad. I bought mine for 20$ off Amazon and I should have read the reviews prior, as it's clear they're junk.  I purchased a lowdollerr motorsports sensor.
