oh pulease that skylines in awesome nick

now i'll show u how to write off a gtr :(

Talks cheap! PICS!!!!!! :(

Doesnt even look like there is any suspension damage so the hit has caused what appears to be cosmetic damage only. Start getting some parts together and fix it up :(

Bad luck champ - drove past you just after it happened. Peak hour, rain, and you looking pretty down on yourself next to the car.

Must say it looks much worse in the pics than what I saw on the freeway but then I really only saw one side of it.

And like others have said, looks cosmetic only - fix her up, but if it aint a GTR lose the badge I reckon.

im affraid i am a grandma driver in the wet too. im scared to death of something like this happening to my car.

can you get a friend (a very good friend) who has insurance to put their hand up and say it was their fault and you can pay their insurance bills?

VERY VERY VERY bad advice. Insurance fraud is not on. SAUWA does not endorse it.

I'm sorry to be so hard on you Lucy, unless you were kidding :P

Insurance fraud is crap man thats y all our Insurance bills are high because of alll the insurance fraud around. but like others said it does not look bad bit of TLC and she will be tops again. Sucks that u hit the wall man but like u said u did not take no one out and ur still alive. All u need is time, love, MONEY.

hope all goes well for you and ur 32mate.

yeh, i got a good mate helpn me out with a quote cos he does business with midland smash so there comn back with a price for me.. and im guna look at getn some GTR guards slaped on perhaps as well..

ill see what happens, lets say iv got more respect for rwd cars in teh wet now  without a doubt if it was in teh dry im pretty certain i could of pulled it back but wet just yeh wayyy to slipery :) could of been worse, could of been overtakn at a higher speed like a truck or somthn..

Did you see it happen taynewguy it would of been a awsome thing to watch.. guy behind me who stoped behind me was like woa.

btw teejay its not stock. has AFC, larger turbo and the usual associated mods. If i had a GTR i doubt i would be in the situation to begin with praise awd.. didnt get a GTR straight away cos i didnt think that would be wise coming from a 170hpatw fwd car to somthn with double the power and is tail happy. rather work my way up.

and insurance companies read forums

but thats repairable :) not as bad as I first thought tho too.... bitta elbow grease and some new panels and front bar.. new lights and should be okish yeh? plus you only just got it  give it a shot and see how you go :)

I don't know how you could lose it like that overtaking at the speed limit, unless you dropped down a gear and planted your foot flat to the floor on wet roads... which is just silly. I never use full throttle on wet roads unless I want to do something silly lol even then it doesn't even take full throttle to step it out, you really need to be careful on wet roads! Glad you're okay though, as that's the most important thing as cars are easily replaced. Hopefully you'll learn from this experience and have more respect for performance vehicles and road conditions. The car doesn't look to be in that bad of a condition considering your description of what happened!

Next time get insurance! If you had hit someone else's car you'd be in so much strife... at least get third party no matter what car you drive.

just add up the new panels + respray costs... headlights/rearlights.. could be expensive if done properly

    • If you mean the alarm immobiliser; theyre internal to the alarm itself which makes that difficult; I couldnt even see where he put it; its not in the same place as last time; but with all black wiring it might be very challenging to trace  I had someone turn the key for me as I know it only primes for a couple of seconds As my post above; I am getting no voltage to the pump at all; but I am testing continuity of the power line (SB) from the pump plug to the relay fine. As well as the negative from the pump plug to a 12V constant.    Yeah; he blammed the no start on a bad battery; said I needed to get a new battery and it'll start. Turns out the battery drained because the tail lights had been on for half the day during the install (the rubber cushion on the brake switch gave out while he was testing it as I have a picture of the car from that morning with the tail lights off..i've replaced that). The battery was turning over the engine just fine for a long time; but got low since lights were draining it so it was too low to test a start after he finished. I bought a new one on his advice...$250 wasted. My original battery charged up just fine and is healthy.    It was running perfectly fine when I messed up the old alarm (programmed out the remotes). He couldnt start it after removing the old alarm; my assumption is that when he unhooked it; he didnt bridge the circuit back when trying to start it. Its always been perfectly fine. The ECU swap and pump were 2 years ago. It's never missed a beat in that time.
    • This is a big issue for me without the diff. I just have zero drive from the passenger side when drivers side has no traction. Bec's parents place has a crazy steep driveway with odd camber and I have never been able to get up. My bro-in-law's 130i with an (unknown brand) LSD gets up fine as does their dad's Hiace. My car stays at the bottom. We have other odd camber roads around here as we're elevated a bit and if it's raining I can get totally stuck around some hairpins.
    • Yeah, I am super excited for this.
    • Was the car running before he touched the car?
