Was just on the mazda website and the rx8 seems to have quite a lot more features than evo 9...eg. leather seats, 9 speaker Bose sound system, Xenon headlights. But evo definitely more torque and power.

If your worried about that.

The Liberty Has something like an 11 or 13 Bose sound system.

Leather seats

Electric seats

With 180KW

Comfortable 4 door

Quite luxurious

6 speed man

And a cool computer that tells you how many L/100km you currently doing.. Injectors/pump max out at 55L/100km.. just so you know..

BTW:scandyflick, Your sig is funny.. I lol'ed.. but its also 2 in the morning..

no self respecting dentist drives a japanese car, unless its a Lexus (genuine too, none of this Toyota Soarer rebadged crap). euro all the way dude... Audi it up.

the "fun to drive" choice out of all that is the Evo... but I'd still get the Audi over it.

hey congrats on your degree. id say get the evo whether u wait and get the evo x or just get the evo ix..but do not get the bmw 3 series..my dad and i took one for a test drive when he was looking for a car and im not a big guy but inside i could not get comfortable and couldnt bend my knees as the ergonomics of the car are sh*t house

good luck

keep the skyline, take the money and use it as a deposit for a house

+1

You already have a nice car. Buy a house.

Think long term success not short term thrills. In 5 years time when you get equity on your new property, you will be able to buy the new GTR that will crap all over the current list of cars you are looking at. Be patient with money and use your brains to invest now and reap rewards later.

Dont be like 99% of other young guys spending all they have on flashy cars when they are young. 99% of guys mess up financially early on so they end up never owning any exotics (Ferraris, Lambos, new GTR etc)

You are getting 70 K for FREE, invest it wisely!!

The choice is yours.

I just called mitsubishi and they have confirmed the price for the evo 10.

Only 3 variants will be available, GSR 5 speed ($59000), GSR semi-auto (64000), MR semi-auto (74000).

Cars will be ready around april 2008.

So now, I have to choose manual or semi-auto.

Thanks for the input guys!

It did not come up, but the Mazda 6 MPS with leather pack is a fun car to drive with all the extra's, and it's quicker with 4wd than many other cars. It's no evo but as a everyday car for the executive with possible family on the way, it's a good choice.

Please drive an EVO before you buy one. I did and the V-spec GTR had a much smoother ride.

Dont get married, over 50% of marriages end up in divorce! Kiss half of your car good bye when she says "laters" :D

Great choice EVOX( was not on your list though) :) ......go GSR five speed for fun...unless you have to drive around the city all day.

X would be worth the wait....be patient.

If I was given this..a GTR34 would be my first choice....will hold its value and chick magnet appeal.... :laughing-smiley-014:

Not that I need that with my good looks...

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
