Hey all,

Something very suss!!!! I got a letter sent to my house from something called Hokimoto Street Racing Corp. telling me that i have been invited to a Prestigious Japanese Car Show help at Homebush Stadium dates 16th-23rd December.

I have no idea who they are and they have my address and full name incliding my surname.

Very worried cause there is no return address or anything.

Just wanna know if anyone has heard of this company of has been sent a similar letter

Tim Leas is the name of the Venue Manager

Any help would be great Thanks Sam

hey all,

Wishborn & Co

40-45 Olimpic Bay Dr

Homebush NSW 2140

Thats the only thing is say and Olympic is spelt wrong. Sounds very very suss

Tim Leas is the name on the bottom. Im worried cause they know about my car and have my address and all that

I was gunna come in here and correct you on your spelling of 'Kakimoto'

But yeah, if you own an R35... You're gunna get jacked :P

i know what Kakimoto is. but it says "Hokimoto" i dont know who its from and what is going on!!

So no one else has recieved a letter like this

Sounds dodgy. Infact I'd pass it on to the Police as well. Don't know if they'd actually do anything with it but they might want to chase it up. Perhaps these people are running some sort of scam.

Second that, take it to the cops for shore and be real nice to them and they might do some thing about it.

Cool. SAU fight club gets it's first challengers.

I'm up for some knuckels, i can be there in 20mins if you're going!

ill get you the address and contact number of the guy on tuesday bud. sounds like someone got your details off a business who you may have bought something from and given your details to.

they sell your details off for extra cash. i never give my real details out to anyone. i usually just give them adams name and nicks address.

:) It's funny cos it's true. :D:(:D

*Edit Forum wouldn't let me put 50,000,000 laughing smilies in there so had to delete most of them.

you'll start getting the invites soon enough- i give people your name AND address :)

thats ok, ive been putting up your name and number up in mens toilets in kings cross.

whats funny is it was already up there on most of them.

then i realised i should be putting it up in the girls toilets. that would REALLY shit you.

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
