driver of the day goes to Massa for keeping it together even with all the sudden tyres changes etc and Vettel for really kicking everyone's ass in the rain. Goes to show, Vettel didn't just get lucky, he really does have some serious skills.

Will be great if Newey and the team can screw a good car together for next year. Forget Lewis., if Vettel can get himself in a decent car he will be a real class act for Lewis to compete against. I cant imagine how Rosberg must feel. He is young and already the forgotten young driver with yet another wave of guys who will be takign the seats that this time last year were being offere to him.

Heikki, time to man up and start requesting not to be the lap dog role asked for you. If you have any talent and dont want to be the new DC you need to fight the team orders like Alonso and Hamo did last year to try and seize your advantage. Being fuelled heavy every Q3 so that you never have the track position to use the car's pace....well. I am only just still giving you the benefit of the doubt :D

Glock must be the most hated driver right now, I'm sure the Brazilians all hate him, same goes for all the Italians........then the rest of the Ferrari fans around the world would probably like to string his limbs up to 4 horses and tear him apart like they do in the medival times.

Providing his helmet fits by the time next season comes around...

i'm sure they'll fit him for a larger helmet in the off season :)

now comes the depressing part- the wait 'til the first '09 race in March :D

if Glock had have come in for inters, Hamo would have finished where he did anyway, but as it stands, the deluge in the last 2 mins meant both Toyotas were massively off the pace

suck it up, tigers

timo yielded his position bit too easily imo.

however the last two laps, awesome nail biting stuff!

how does one yield when there's only a couple of corners left?.....any sensible driver would just block until the finishing line and on the wet track, drivers behind him would be equally careful.

well, bring on 09, hope we get more of this action. Haven't been this excited about a racec in a long time.

2009 changes everything. The whole McLaren better in the cold/wet | Ferrari better in hot and dry thing will be consigned to history, methinks.

The only thing that's safe to say about '09, is that the drivers that excell in the wet will be even further differentiated from the also-rans with the cars having less aero induced grip next year.

BRING THAT SHIT ON!

Lewis didn't have the best drive today, but he kept his cool. I mean shit how many of us having nothing to do with the race were biting our fingernails?

Karma for Ferarri tho, the other bs penalties that went on during the season against Lewis, but never against ferarri....

And to any Italians who had their heart ripped out this morning...

    • Yeah well per the video it took 15s for the stock unit to start up....even if I give it a few seconds discount for starting that is at least 12 sec before you get a reverse camera if you are trying to leave a park.  The android unit is way faster, but 2016 for the stock unit is a long time ago in consumer electronics
    • Yea that’s why I said ima test them with multimeter and see the reads.
    • Only at idle. Isn’t a problem when rev it seems.
    • @Haggerty This seems silly to ask, but are you confident in your ability to tune the Haltech?
    • Next on the to-do list was an oil and filter change. Nothing exciting to add here except the oil filter is in a really stupid place (facing the engine mount/subframe/steering rack). GReddy do a relocation kit which puts it towards the gearbox, I would have preferred towards the front but there's obviously a lot more stuff there. Something I'll have to look at for the next service perhaps. First time using Valvoline oil, although I can't see it being any different to most other brands Nice... The oil filter location... At least the subframe wont rust any time soon I picked up a genuine fuel filter, this is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. Access can be found underneath the rear seat, you'll see this triangular cover Remove the 3x plastic 10mm nuts and lift the cover up, pushing the rubber grommet through The yellow fuel line clips push out in opposite directions, remove these completely. The two moulded fuel lines can now pull upwards to disconnect, along with the wire electrical plug. There's 8x 8mm bolts that secure the black retaining ring. The fuel pump assembly is now ready to lift out. Be mindful of the fuel hose on the side, the hose clamp on mine was catching the hose preventing it from lifting up The fuel pump/filter has an upper and lower section held on by 4 pressure clips. These did take a little bit of force, it sounded like the plastic tabs were going to break but they didn't (don't worry!) The lower section helps mount the fuel pump, there's a circular rubber gasket/grommet/seal thing on the bottom where the sock is. Undo the hose clip on the short fuel hose on the side to disconnect it from the 3 way distribution pipe to be able to lift the upper half away. Don't forget to unplug the fuel pump too! There's a few rubber O rings that will need transferring to the new filter housing, I show these in the video at the bottom of this write up. Reassembly is the reverse Here's a photo of the new filter installed, you'll be able to see where the tabs are more clearing against the yellow OEM plastic Once the assembly is re-installed, I turned the engine over a few times to help build up fuel pressure. I did panic when the car stopped turning over but I could hear the fuel pump making a noise. It eventually started and has been fine since. Found my 'lucky' coin underneath the rear seat too The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44&t=6s
