there is still something about the old school muscle cars that you just cant deny...

Nothing like a rickity old heavy muscle car ( Like one of my dream cars - 67 Chevy Impala) that is as lumpy as shit, scaring kids with the sheer sound as it rolls past.

Although, as i have previously stated, it must be on par with an RB at 7000rpm..

orange r33 booting it extremely hard in the city on the weekend, think it was near mile end. on a holiday weekend no less and looked like a car full of people in it. not a good example for SAU ?

silver stag with red stripe tires, on beach road

black stag at supercheap, hey mate did you get new front guards ? :action-smiley-069:

black r33 with chrome wheels on states rd

black r33 4 dr same spot

black supra parked on salsbury highway, salsbury way, suprised it was there still the next day in one piece, too nice for roadside parking

lots of old cars out cruising

a pair of GTT on south rd heading towards salsbury on the weekend.

and one parked on the roadside /sidewalk sunday am. on south rd.

yeah I agree....I occasionally join the Zipple cruises on the bike where you see approx 300 of these old school muscle cars in one place :worship:

I am still trying to convince my cousin instead of blowing his money on some new Mercs or Beemers that he should invest in one of these classics....

I almost got him convinced of an original RT Charger.... absolutely awesome machine. :worship:

White 31 with white rims out the front of Lavericks this arvo...

Lavericks in Olympic Dam? If so that was probably a friend of mine he has 3 or 4 31's and about half of the VL commodore production run. I grew up in roxby downs. Bad place :nuke:

Back to the topic at hand anyway, I spotted a very smooth looking black V35 wasn't sure if it was andrew though, a couple of 33 GTR's one maroon with gold badging, a nice touch.

Also spotted at least 50 cars travelling without their headlights on during my travel home from work. A mojority of them being silver which at dusk tend to look the same colour as the sky. Not a wise move in my opinion but hey, maybe i'm the only person who thinks its plain dangerous.

R35 yesterday on main north rd. Still awestruck whenever I see one gracing australian roads

Also spotted a 33 gtst with one dull taillight yesterday on my daily commute. Alerted the bloke in case he wasn't aware, had a quick chat at the lights about our cars and went about or days. :action-smiley-069: Good to gain a report with people you commonly see on the road

Got it in one champ... I dont have my GTR up here by my mate (Dumpe on SAU) has his 34 GTR here. We often see this white one parading through the streets, keeping it in 2nd gear, launching and revving its tits out down the main street... Waiting for it to go boom one day.. There is a couple of Skylines up here though

Cheers

Matty

    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
