I love whatever I have read for the T04Z! But I cannot find any bargain to buy one.. I find a good bargain for T88-34D!!

You can read my setup in my signature!

My target is 440rwkw

I have read that T04Z is very fast spool.... t88-34D will be much lagier? How much rpm more for full boost?

Will be ok an rpm limit 8.000 or 8.500 ?

They're both rather laggy, but the T88 is VERY laggy. You get that with a bigger turbo which is only plain bearing, and its also overkill for 440kw @ wheels.

If you want cheap, pickup a Garrett T04Z, not a T88

If it was old tek 70's style garrett then I would agree.

If you had a turbo with similar trim / ar measurements then there is bollocks all in it between a BB and Plain bearing....despite what the skeptics say.

what about a innovative turbo systems gt80 on a 30/26 wiv 272 10.2lift cams???

all i know its a 1.0 rear with a xtrim wheel, and its got a 80mm front wheel..

me in same boat, but have no idea when it will be on hard

Given its essentially a TD08 which is an old Mitsubishi truck turbo, it fits into the same umbrella in my opinion. Even a modern Borg Warner S372 (rough equivalent to T88-34D) will be laggier than a T04Z though. Its still plain bearing, and its still bigger.

Thats a decent price and if you look a bit harder im sure you can find them for around $2200

Overkill for a T88 in that case then.

Lol ummm no.

t88-34D will be much lagier?

Yes quite a bit laggier, expect power to come on around 5500-6000rpm (talking like 150-200rwkw) and make peak power between 7500-8000rpm

Will be ok an rpm limit 8.000 or 8.500 ?

Yes it will be fine for both turbos however id suggest anything over a T88, IMO a T88 is only good for a drag car/dyno queen/posers for the street. What's the car going to be used for?

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
