wow reading these responses , and never having owned a Nissan , i had no idea the servicing was so stuffed. I see the potential problem now.

Great product / shit service... smells like trouble :woot:

I went with a mate to pick up his Polo GTi, after warranty work was done on his gearbox. They were really courteous and attentive, had free coffee available in the waiting room, and knew who he was and what car he was there for without him needing to say anything. The car was ready to go, and they served the prior customers pretty quickly and got his car pretty quickly too.

When he called VW up about his gearbox problem, they didn't d1ck him about telling him there was no known issue or that his "hard driving" was causing it, and said they'd have a look to determine if it was the case.

Contrast that with my last trip to Nissan for servicing, where I had to wait for ages because they had to "road test" my car half an hour after they called me telling me it was ready to pick up. Asking for a glass of water earned a long stare. I also asked for my backing plates for the rear pads, which I told them on the phone when booking the service and when I got there to drop the car off, which was duly noted on the job sheet....but they'd thrown them out anyway.

Don't even start me when I went to see them about the 2003 350Z's known "tyre feathering" and "rear axle clicking" issues.....

Highway Nissan did a "full" service on my previous R34, when I picked it up it still had a blown bulb in the brake light, not to mention they didn't tell me the car was stuck in 3rd gear with a busted shift solenoid. I get there at 4:30 and they give me a card for a local transmission place lol, Nissan couldn't even fix a GTt!

We're coming on 2 months now since I, the Great White Hunter of Nissan Australia called for the compulsory slaying of grey imported Skylines "for their own good" (makes the breed hard to manage you understand)

Sadly the grey imported R35 is a cunning beast, which it must be indeed trying to hide its portly girth and distinct stripes in the domestic jungle of falcadores and camryundis, in order to flush it out we will re-evalute our plan by starving it out... the threat having the privilage of being fondled and massaged by our finest 2nd year apprentices in our workships revoked doesn't seem to be enough to convince them to to turn themselves in.

My new cunning plan will be involving a really big lump of cheese and a big f**king shotgun.

dont get too excited about european prestige service . My old mans got a brand spanker jag xk8 coupe , 250k worth , the thing just died one day , no electrics and barbagallo (large prestige wa dealer) have had for it 6 weeks now and Im pretty sure they have absolutely no idea whats wrong with it or what they are doing

You have gotta be serious - you send us your work email in full and want us to stop importing GTR's? Seriously, everyone knows buying new from Nissan directly will be much more expensive than going via an importer - so you can't win.

Went there for them to have a look at my factory stereo / cd player, which was playing up.

The servicemen told me to wait 10 mins while he and 6 other servicemen where moving cars. So I went to the front desk and the girl told me to go back outside and talk to the servicemen.

Went back outside and he said to one of the other servicemen, "whos this guy waiting for? :geek:

I said to the Go F*** yourself!

So if this is the quality of service we are getting from out local dealers... = WTF

Then if you don't take it back and if something goes wrong, they say you have void you warrenty for taking it to us.

And they want us to buy their cars...?

Yeah thats right... cuz they are only interested in customers buying their cars, not fixing them.

good chat on the situation.

I think that Nissan Aus gets the profit for the cars they sell so that is why the big stink about the grey imports and Nissan Aus is run as its own company and has its own CEO but still has to take orders from Nissan Japan

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter? 
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
