Yep, a simple out.

"We factor $5k for complaince, but hey, what do you know the actual price is $35k"

Baron, on a side note I'm really worried that someone will get caught out just like the whole Stagea issue previously mentioned. Where is all this at? Is it a 100% given that complaince will be given?

If not when compliance is sorted after you add all the factors up to work out the cost per car you will be looking at $15,000 to $25,000 at least and only a fool will charge less then that, what tosser is going to charge $5,000 to $10,000 and cover recalls for life of model on a car like the R35 GTR which is for ever in case you ask and it includes all costs.

Nothing in life is 100% and going on what a car dealer or wannabe car dealer says is a bit naive no more then a bit.

lol, if they can get me a brand new R35 GTR with under 100kms (not 1000, not 10,000 but 100), landed and on the road for under $100K as they clam then I am in. whoever is selling them compliance for $5K is the most generous, benevolent sevs workshop on earth! I really can't see it happening though.

so will i buy one

even if it has 1000kms under 100K i will but it !!!!

Well another batch of 25 plates has popped up in Sydney so doing the sums if it does include stamp duty (which is around $10,000 depending on the state) it will be $160,000 plus LCT component of $23,407 so $183,407 plus insurance not cheap for a grey import which will have a warrenty but again who is going to service these cars at $120,000 for the OEM Nissan equipment.

Nissan Skyline GTR R35 2008 Silver, Coupe 3.8ltr, AUTOMATIC, 50kms, Top Secret is proud to announce the delivery of the new R35 GTR.

Vehicle price includes all costs for delivery (luxury vehicle tax extra)

Funny though you would think they could at least put a photo of a car in the same colour they are advertising.

PRICE $160000

Luxury Car Tax is calculated as 25% of the GST exclusive portion of the vehicle purchase price over $57,009, the Luxury Car Tax should then of course be added onto the GST inclusive price of the car so the supply price for the car would be $183,407.

why didnt they knock out all the evil fringe dwellers with the 350GT why the GTR.

surely they would have sold more 350GT's than GTR's.

And Luxury Car Tax what a joke its like they are saying you have more money so you wont miss it as much as every one else.

i can say unless this bum fight gets fixed my new employer wont be geting me one of these cars truly sad

j-spec already have them advertised on the site for around $100K landed and complied

guess i'll buy a sliver one when they get down to 60 or so :D

shaun ,

does that mean i can buy the black one from j-spec and comply it . I though compliance was not available yet .

mike

apparently it is

that one was for $99K landed and complied the other day (they estimate) but the exchange rate would have changed already

shaun,

that is cheap for a r35 gtr . what would be wrong with the car if any . where can i confirm about compliance . So if i buy it I can comply it when the plates are available

mike

At least it's available. Good for potential buyers, seeing as they don't need to wait a year.

But is it available, as far as I am concerned it means here is my money now give me keys, not we will put you on list for expression of interest, not put a deposit down for car and final payment when and if approval is gained, not we assume it will be approved and we assume it will cost this much but for now give us this much and we will contact you when avialable.

When New Low Volume is approved on the R35 GTR I will know quite quick as it wont be a well kept seceret but others on the forum will know with in seconds and they will post it on the forum so till then unless a Rego/Compliance plate is fitted take every statement about the R35 GTR being approved with a grain of salt.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
    • Yeah mate, never miss it.
    • Any going to watch World Time Attack at SMSP this year?
    • Appreciate the correction on the "ground", that will make a huge difference to looking at this. That makes complete sense about AF70/AF71 which is what I had come down to being the issue, one of these. I'll have another look in the ignition wiring when I get a chance next week. I'll also make up a jumper wire for running that AF73 test.  ECU is fine, relay itself is fine, pump harness is fine and the pump itself is fine. I am going to upgrade the Walbro 255 anyway with a DW300 I have since I need to replace the fuel sender and I'm going to upgrade the FPR with my chasebays kit ready for new plenum/injectors/dbw, but I'll get this working first. That's why this is so frustrating.
