I love my insurance company

Last year i was 25 and buying my first import. I rang up my current insurer (Western QBE) and got a quotation on a policy for my R32 GTSt. The answer was $1308 per year, which i thought was pretty damn good value. It probably helped that QBE dont actually have any other 1992 R32 GTSt's on the books. So much that they denied the car even exsisted.

This year of course im 26 and was wondering what my insurance would be like. At the time of getting the policy i was told it would drop this year.

Well.... it dropped... a grand total of $532! Just $776 per year. Suffice to say IM F'UCKING STOKED!

Not all insurance companies suck!

a mate whos 26 jsut got a quote for 92 V8 soarer, clean drivng record full no claim

best offer was $1890

and he has, health, and home and contents with the same company

I pay $485 to get my R32 GTR insured (comprehensive) 25 yrs old.

Much better than $2,000 that I was paying for my 911 when i was 19.

Zymotic, you need to have exsisting policies with them in order to get a policy on an import. They wont give out new policies on them.

I insure my house contents with them too. Too easy mate.

been quoted $2000 by Just Cars (underwritten by AAMI). The quest for insurance continues.

I am with RAC. Just got me renewal, $1200 for cover of $27 000. I am 24, no claim bonus 55%. I had heard rumours RAC were no longer doing imports, but I have been with them for a year. am going to put serial numbers, brands and prices of all stereo equipment and SAFC on my policy too. Have been burned before with previous car when stereo was stolen. They would not cover it as I had not stated it on my insurance policy. Also a good idea to state any valuable accessories, momo knobs and wheels etc.

Making sure all my bases are covered, may photograph everything as proof (as well as receipts).

RAC were more than happy to insure my fmic and boost controller, HBF would void my cover if I went with them.
