Who cares if old people drive Skylines. They are not reserved for young people. Besides, in Japan every Grandpa Joe around the corner drives one.

And about Melbourne West...yes it is dominated by Holden and Ford. But there are a heck of a lot of skylines......lots. Especially R33's. Lots of R32's and a few 34's.

i'm in the north-west and i agree that over here its dominated by the likes of VN-VR comodores with the occasional camry and falcon thrown in.

i rekon i see an r32 once every 2 weeks and that includes driving all the way to clayton each day for uni. but for r33's... well i see at least 5 every day!

for all those who see never see men driving r32's, well you obviously havn't seen me then... i ain't no sheila!

Seen 1, that's right 1 R34 GTR ever. I remember coming on here when i saw it and started a thread, i thought there was like 1 or 2 in Melbourne.... i was "slightly" wrong :P Still only seen the 1 tho.

I see shit all skylines where i live (see location) And as for rs73 comments, i reckon ur spot on. I'm 19 but will def get a R34 GTR later on in life, and if that's 30 then so be it (altho i'm aiming to have my ass in one A LOT younger :D). Also planning on having a E46 M3 Next to it, and tell me you see young ppl drive those!! I reckon i see more M3's than skylines round my place... not that it's a bad thing :)

Oh and i RARELY see R34 GT-T's.

Hell no!!! There is nothing wrong with you owning a R33 S2 being middle aged. More the better i say!! Just proving that ppl are realising just how good a Skyline is, especially the turbo ones :)

Oh and welcome to the forums lukas! There is a Great Ocean Road cruise happening soon, if u go to the "Events" in the Vic section, there is some info there.

cheers.

Are u importing or buying locally?

There is also a "Sau Vic Forum Goers" thread, just a little info about most of the Victorian Skylines Australia members.

cheers.

was the R34GTR silver???? It's the ONLY R34GTR i've ever seen and it was silver turning from Nepean hwy into Dendy st, so heading off to Brighton. U live around bayside way too Rab??

old lady driving it???!!!?? Man that would have been weird to see, even weirder if she was gunning it! :D Actually, i think that would be pretty cool!

but as a group they are really wack

...um HELLO HONDA DRIVERS ....enuff said :(

actually, i reckon anybody younger than me shouldn't be driving on the roads, for that matter, anybody older than me shouldn't be driving on the roads either. But I am just "perfect"... lol .. isn't that the REAL way everybody thinks when it comes down to it?

but 1 thing i noticed on the roads is that there a lot of middle to older age men and ladies driving the imported toyota soarer.....

I agree with that... Me and a few mates were at the Safeway carpark in Clarinda and saw a Soarer. While looking at it, this grey, old man who could barely walk got in and sped off, we were all thinking wtf? Wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
