forgot to add this

theres a form of modding a import that is 10x worse then riceing it up, and that is the so called DRIFT PIG i know of ppl who have had nice cars but decided to turn there cars into drift cops even tho they dont drift but are just after a drifter image crazy,,, i rekon

see now, it comes down to what u define as rice, these are the 2 main ones ive heard: very asian inspired eccentric styling, and modification which is made to make the car look like it is faster than it is or using a performance part for cosmetic reasons. and i gotta say, that 2nd definition applies to pretty much everyone on this site. so really there is a bit of rice in everyone. i do agree with you though, people look for that thrashed out look to make it look like there car gets thrashed, when in fact it doesnt. imo its that mentality which is everything wrong with the import scene these days.

Who cares what style people define your car as... if you like it, that's all that matters, and if you like it, chances are someone else is going to like it too.

We all drive ricer cars, given that this is a Skyline forum and the term rice refers to the Japanese car scene... but who cares? Not me.

no mate its not about how much money they've spent on their car

its about cars that are highly modded and showing the viewers the mods in detail

im sure if you had a tough car you wouldn't say no to a magazine or DVD cover/feature

personally i always wanted me car to be on the cover of a mag and it was a massive achievement for me and great exposure for my business

Why are you defending yourself to a fu*kstick who only has 5 posts and is obviously here to start a shit fight?

Outlaw, you need to make some usefull posts before you start bitching about 'ricers'.

Bad day today, sorry

not sure what you want to define it as but LED tail lights on r32's or any skyline is rice, shit, gay whatever you want to call it

Even worse on 180's....the ghey round ones that bug out look so damn ugly.

Notice how they all go for a round tail light......everyone wants a skyline...LoL

HAHAHA would make a good sig.

You're fuggin joking right? You think the old style tail lights in the 1st pic look better than the updated Type X style lights? The older style look absolutely terrible compared to Type X lights!

I'm steering towards the the older style but topped off with a Origin / Vertex Bodykit and no spoiler.

Type X, at 1st I thought it was an aftermarket thing but found out its a factory (updated as you said) Guess I don't mind.

AS LONG as its not on a S15. If you have a S15 stick to the factory rear lights. I saw one this morning and made the car look cheap and tacky IMO.

IMO the stocko yellow indicator section is ugly as and the crystal versions (that keep the red part red, and simply make the indicator clear) are a massive improvement

Yeah I seen that before, gives it an updated look but I guess I just prefer the the orange indicator.

    • Yeh I think i'll message an old contact i had for ages that manages his own tyre shop now.. n tell him what i want n work with him before ordering..  Got this 17x9 +30 Driftteks on 245/45/17 PSR Drag Radials on the rear.. They fit well - for your reference in future - Rear guards  have been lipped in & minimal to non flaring of the rear Gaurds.
    • If only it were that easy! I also needed to remove seats, shocks, brake calipers, send my car through a fence, and use measuring and ended up guessing because I didn't remove seats, shocks and brake calipers. It can be hard sometimes Can be a little more complex than 'just measure' if you want to truly measure the entire wheel through all of it's suspension travel. But if you aren't going for every last mm then yeah, you can check the space you currently have and guesstimate.
    • If you own a car, and it has wheels on it, and you know the offset of those wheels, and you have a measuring device, you have everything you need to work out if other wheels will fit.
    • Will this fit? but they are staggered set - RAYS 57DR SEMI GLOSS BLACK 18x8.5 +37 | 18x9.5 +38 5-114.3 STAGGERED SET   or If no go could just get a set 4's wheels of 18x8.5 +37 5-114.3 - would i run 8.5's 235s up front n 245's at the back if I do?   Thanks.
    • Put a clamp on your return line. I have a feeling it's sucking air, and introducing bubbles to your fuel. With a lot of fuel, less problematic. I'd honestly be redoing all the lines in the tank and clamps on everything.   Also, you've given two different answers to the same question: Asked if being followed by the police you could get down to use the whole tank, you said yes you could, so long as you keep off boost. However, you then followed this up that free revving, it would also cause the issues. I'm doubting free revving is enough to make any noticeable boost on what is likely a decent sized turbo.   So now I have to ask, can you actually drive it lightly and use all the fuel, or does it break up even free revving? Also, have you put a fuel pressure gauge on it? Can you hear the pump change noise at all when you're having this issue?
