Knowing Peter he would rip the VR38 out and put the RB26 in there, just cos its bettera. :P

Only if I turn the RB26 into an RB3.2, cos it is really bettera

Well you know what I am doing to the bottom end , now the head.

Do you think I should just clean it up a bit and put oversize valves and Titanium valve springs OR

Race port the head, 1mm oversize supertech valves IN/EX, valve guides, spring/retainers and shims

Might take the NISMO badge off the back and get a BIG RB320GTR one made up  Oh and in RED because RED is faster :wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Once it is all done I should be able to get to Woolies under 10s :woot:

Thanks , I am waiting for a reply from Jim to get an answer from some of the questions I put to him , basically what is best for the motor with this type of build .

I will have the torque I want so I really do not need to do it for that, so ?????

This is now officially the Tt350gt / real NISMO1 build thread.

Hopefully a mod can change the thread title ;)

Can't wait to see the results. Should be fun! Be nice to be able to get what you want.

Yeh it is confusing, I did ask SAU to help.

I cannot log in on my laptop under TT350GT and I cant change anything?? I had to make a new Name , "The Real Nismo1". for my laptop and I cannot use both names on either of the computers and the laptop is great while watching TV or DVDs or whatever, so :whistling:

I cannot do many things on my laptop to do with this site for whatever reason

But, as for the build , you blokes will think I am nuts but I do not want to take it to the extreme the 3.2 stroker could achieve but it will be great

Sorry for the name confusion :action-smiley-069:

Just been doing a bit more homework and I doubt if my Stroker setup will get over 400wkw on 98 pump unless I change the cams, double the Walbro pump and at least the Turbo housing as mine is smallish to get the response I asked for BUT it will have a lot of go with a shit load of Torque going on. So all good

My Haltech Platinum Pro will allow me to use both E85 , pump 98 or a mixture , might have to have a chip or something? I guess that will give me more if i want, but no one sells it here, haha

HAHA , Thanks Ben, but all sorted and the thread is all yours

I see some go for years you are lucky once I decide, get the help I need its over in a week or 2 :whistling:

Let you blokes know when it is finished

Thanks everyone :action-smiley-069: well, OK thanks for the laughs Scotty

Haha,

I don't want the thread for myself. I have a 30 bottom end in my stagea. ;)

All the best with the build.

I'm sure it will be great and hopefully all done nice and quick so you can hammer down to woolies!

when you say woolies....you don't mean woolworths right? :woot: or do you?

In my one I did very little to the head, clean and remove any rough edges that can cause turbulence and fit a set of BC springs, the stock head will flow 450kw without much drama

Hi Mick,Love to see some Dyno readings on this site, before and after 3.2 rebuilds especially torquey ones, maybe start a new thread to make a few blokes happy, happier, less grumpy :)

Tried to find some other thread but this bloody laptop needs a medic , try on the PC after golf, lifes a turd :)

There is, well not so much before and after more just different setups and their result in the Forced Performance Thread home page at the top there are dyno result threads

    • Hi all, Long time since I've posted here. Looking for some advice on what I can remove to further identify the cause of my issues.  I can move the passenger seat forward and back but the knob used to adjust the seat angle is pretty much free spinning, there's very little resistance.  Removing the side cover I can see that the chain is intact but the shaft for the adjustment spins without the gear attached to it moving.  What's my next step for disassembly here? Is this a common fault? Just being a little cautious as I didn't want to start removing bolts for a spring to fly out or something equally as stupid.  Cheers
    • Those above shitboxes, mediocre and above usually have a turbo strapped to them, hence the slightly higher octane is required.
    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
