From what he was saying at the last ben simpson cruise, he swapped to smaller turbos and made around 230kw.

My car made 230kw with standard turbo's and 11psi, he has 2860-7's at 18psi and 230kw. Something is not right with that car.

Spot on! According to what he told me, his tuner thinks that's an expected figure. I say he's an idiot

word... even N1's which are just stockers with steel wheels can get over 300 with ease...

stockers themselves would go past 220 safely if they werent ceramic...

Took this one today, quite like it :)

/ol school merc

much love for the merc. needs chopped roof, fresh white walls and the chassis rails on the ground then it will make womens clothes fall off (well my clothes at least :P)

um tbh steve i dont really know, last i heard he was sitting up and they put him in a wheel chair to move around instead of being in the bed all the time.

but his dad called my mum and abused her over the phone, and alot of other stuff has been said to me from his sister and brothers gf, saying how i ruined his life and i need ot be careful that karma will come and get me stuff like that

even tho he could feel his legs could wiggle his toes and was on panadol for pain relief

go figure.

yeah i know that and he had alot of back trouble for a long time, and cause he had a pre existing back injury, the accident flared it up....but his family and what not still felt like they had the right to ring up mum and abuse her over the phone

my mum did the right thing and spoke to charlie to see how he was going etc and not once did his parents ever get in contact with me to see how i was going.

it doesnt bother me tbh but still just seems a little unfair on the way the have dealt with it

but oh well what has happened has happened, ive had to deal with it but whe u get pm's on facebook saying things like why did u delete me off of facebook (from someone who i dont even know) and that you have ruined charlie life he has no job no car and cant walk............it really brings you down

just because i wasnt as physically hurt as what he was dosent mean im not scarred on the inside

    • This is how I last did this when I had a master cylinder fail and introduce air. Bleed before first stage, go oh shit through first stage, bleed at end of first stage, go oh shit through second stage, bleed at end of second stage, go oh shit through third stage, bleed at end of third stage, go oh shit through fourth stage, bleed at lunch, go oh shit through fifth stage, bleed at end of fifth stage, go oh shit through sixth stage....you get the idea. It did come good in the end. My Topdon scan tool can bleed the HY51 and V37, but it doesn't have a consult connector and I don't have an R34 to check that on. I think finding a tool in an Australian workshop other than Nissan that can bleed an R34 will be like rocking horse poo. No way will a generic ODB tool do it.
    • Hmm. Perhaps not the same engineers. The OE Nissan engineers did not forsee a future with spacers pushing the tie rod force application further away from the steering arm and creating that torque. The failures are happening since the advent of those things, and some 30 years after they designed the uprights. So latent casting deficiencies, 30+ yrs of wear and tear, + unexpected usage could quite easily = unforeseen failure. Meanwhile, the engineers who are designing the billet CNC or fabricated uprights are also designing, for the same parts makers, the correction tie rod ends. And they are designing and building these with motorsport (or, at the very least, the meth addled antics of drifters) in mind. So I would hope (in fact, I would expect) that their design work included the offset of that steering force. Doesn't mean that it is not totally valid to ask the question of them, before committing $$.
    • The downside of this is when you try to track the car, as soon as you hit ABS you get introduced to a unbled system. I want to avoid this. I do not want to bleed/flush/jack up the car twice just to bleed the f**kin car.
    • But again, the engineers said your cast aluminium would be fine based on the load that would be stretching that section. Same load stretching the bolts in a flex (not the twist), with a much smaller cross sectional area than the original part you've broken. It's why you'd need to be using higher strength bolts, but that's just making up for the strength you lose with less area...
