I'm still on holidays - but I'm back this weekend and will have to start getting myself organised for TWP straight away. I haven't orangised anything really yet - no idea when I'm going, how I'm going or even if my car is working yet.

But I'm feeling fresh and revived and I damn excited to be getting back into it. Bring on the MX5's!

I know you're all already fearing the 125kW of mighty MX5 powah!

you don't drive past any hair dressers or coffee shop on the TWP corse do you, cause it's really going to effect your stage times if you do

.... and now back on topic (if you call MX5 bashing that)

at least I'll be lookin good and well refreshed if that's the case

best news I've seen in Tarmac Rallying in ages!

Dear Targa Wrest Point Competitor,

Just so you have a heads up on what we will be targeting in terms of eligibility, I would like to advise you of the following:

1. Random checks of engine stroke will be carried out pre event and all place getters post event

2. Fuel will be tested pre event, out on the course and all place getters post event

3. Exhaust sizes will be checked thoroughly pre event and all place getters post event – Early Modern and Modern SS & LMS exhaust tolerance is 15% not 10% as listed in the Supplementary Regulations.

4. Fuel Injectors on Showroom and Modern SS vehicles will be checked thoroughly pre event and all place getters post event

Showroom vehicles will be particularly targeted in all areas listed above.

Whilst we want everyone to enjoy our events, we must also ensure that the rules of the game are being followed to create a fair environment for every competitor.

See you all soon

Mark Perry

Event Director

I'm going to be interested to see how this runs in Tassie this year! He gets to run it as M2 (LMS) regs as well so it will be interesting to see just how well it performs. If you don't know who it belongs to the plates help give it away! *Hint - he used to drive a Black Porka...fast :P

    • Unsolicited advice? Keep the engine as close to stock as you can. Nothing wrong with adding some boost and making a little more power, but given where you are, you really don't want to try to make it into a monster. I can't imagine the roads are up to it, and the lack of locla support when it grenades will be a ball ache. FWIW, If there is a dyno around that you can access, then brand new injectors are a good idea, which will lead you to (at least) putting a Nistune in it, which will allow you to put an R35 AFM on it, all of which will make it possible to make it much much nicer to drive and live with.
    • List all of your mods. It sounds like an aftermarket ECU hitting rev limiter. Like a valet mode, or a cold rpm limiter?
    • @Kapr Haha yeah thats the one. I missed that you had a built up engine, I wouldn't want to run it on there either then. It was good in my situation just to replace the original turbo on a stock engine. @MBS206Yep definitely not a replacement for anything name brand
    • You are selling this? I have never bought something from marketplace...i dont know if i trust that enough. And the price is little bit "too" good...
