hey

just need to know how much power JDM S15 injectors (480cc) will support on a rb25det? without upgrading the FPR.

ive got a hks 2835 pro s kit goin on and need to be certain these injectors will do the job as i do not want to have to upgrade later on.

thanx in advance

matty

cheers guys thats all i needed to know.

usmair

bought the kit through cj motor on ns.com, although i think these kits have gone up a bit in price due to the sliding aus dollar. installing myself.

My GTR injectors were basically maxed out at 260rwkw as were a mates. BUT that was with them running an RB20DET fuel pressure reg so likely the GTR reg runs a little more base pressure.

Mine flowed 480cc at 40psi.

Adj. fuel pressure reg and a 1 point afr drop when idling has now seen them touch 300rwkw.

i looking for injectors for my set up (mods in sig) as afr are way out pfc hasn been tuned but i was thinking i should get injecotrs n pump. i was told not to get s15 injectors but to go 660cc + and a bosch 044.

sorry to dig this up...

but i take it Nismo 480cc injectors will do whatever S15 480cc injectors do? Does the fact that the Nismo's have that 4 hole spray pattern make any difference?

and i take it from this thread, to get to 300rwkw, i'll definitely need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

Nismo don't do side feed 480cc injectors. The only 480's they do are for the neo engines which use totally different injectors. Yes S15 injectors have 4 holes. Yes you will need to up the fuel pressure a bit to safely hit 300.

i have Nismo 480cc's at the moment, and just wanted to know if they could get to 300rwkw

and how safe is running an adj FPR with the 480cc's, compared to running bigger injectors? Unfortunately if i go up in size, then i lose the nice spray pattern of the nismo's because from nismo, 480cc is my only option. And good luck finding some blitz injectors at a decent price (525cc or there-abouts)

^ :P:( that's a lot of power... i think i will be just a tad shy of that :( but how is that even possible? Isn't the rough calculation 480cc on a six cylinder enginer = ~480hp, which is ~350'is kw's, which is about 300-310rwkw? (40-50kw drive train loss)?

Ok, i'll keep the injectors then :) But i'll still need an adj FPR at least. I take it Nismo would be the choice for an adj FPR?

Is it ok to get a second hand FPR? I recently got a Z32, but spent the extra money to get a new one because i was advised you never know about a second hand one. Is that a similar issue for a second hand FPR? better off going new or it doesn't matter for fpr's?

thanks guys!

hahaha. fair point.

well i want to keep things safe, so i'll keep the 480's and get an adj FPR - unless it's a million times safer to get bigger injectors that is...

second hand Nismo FPR would be ok for the job? or too risky to go second hand?

    • Hi all,  I am in the market for an R200 longnose diff out of a Z31 300ZX, or S12 RSX, DR30 skyline, or similar, in a 3.9 ratio.  Preferably a late model one with the M12 crownwheel bolts.  The only easy to find advert for one of these was my ad back in 2007 when I sold it on this forum.  I sold the diff as I had sold the car it goes to, but as it turns out, after 18 years I got the car back late last year, so now I'm looking for the diff !  If anyone knows where to find a longnose R200 LSD with the M12 crownwheel bolts, drop me a line at [email protected] - Bonus paid if soomeone comes up with the original diff (stranger things have happened !).  Cheers   Ben D
    • Hi everyone, I used to post here a bit from 2004-2013, when I owned various Nissans, in particular my S12 RSX gazelle, which was sold in 2007.  As luck would have it, after an 18 year hiatus, the car found its way back to me last year, and over the past 11 months I have had the pleasure of restoring it with my kids.  One thing that I am after in particular is a 3.9 ratio R200 LSD for it.  I actually sold the one out of the car here back in 2007 , and it would be incredible if I could track down who I sold it to, so I can see how they have progressed over the years (and to be honest, to see whether I can get the diff back !).  Anyways, hi all and let me know "where are the R200 Longnose diffs all at these days ?  Cheers Ben D
    • Arms will be the same as the G35 or 350Z, but as above, there was a change in the lower control arm where it connects to the ball joint.  That said, you can remove the ball joint cone from your old ball joints and fit them to the new ball joints.  To be honest, I didn't think the ball joints themselves were different. The main ball joint is a bit awkward to replace, you really need to remove the steering knuckle to press out the old one.  Some people have used tools to remove it in place, but it just seemed too hard to get to. If you are going to press out/in that ball joint, then you may as well just replace the bushings in the LCA and the compression rod.  You can buy the compression rod bushing from Nissan, but the LCA bushes, you will need to go aftermarket. Much cheaper than buying the whole arm.
    • Ha, well, it's been.... a bit of a journey. Things have taken much longer than I'd hoped. I'll probably put up a thread at some stage. Hopefully soon. The car's not done any kms since my update in June though, put it that way.
    • Here's the chart for fuel pressure vs. current draw, assuming your base fuel pressure is 3 bar and you run like 0.5bar boost on WOT, you should only momentarily hit 9amps here and there. (Ignore my prev post, I cannot read a chart these days it seems)
