i haven't been under 100kg since i stopped busting fat pie eaters like yourself on the footy field.

but your right still shouldn't trust me. :)

Karnt

you must trust me then Pete

You are right Paul I don't like competing in the little league but my car is way too standard to bother with open class. We will give that or invitational a proper go when the new car comes along which is a much more serious effort

In any case I think the production car will stuggle to catch that little honda even in clubman. Its a heavy bastard with very little power (only so much you can do with std injectors and afms). But I would be willing to support the event and give it a go if they are ok with a car with partially stripped interior.

Says the guy with a 200k GTR that is only good for 9 seconds of noise :D Throw some suspension in it and swap over the brakes and enter it

its not even worth 50K...just ask the buyers. We have a car to enter....mines all top end now :) ...we have built both cars to serve a purpose...we will bring the circuit one.

you play squash with squash racquets and tennis with tennis racquets....the right tool for the job Roy.

Dont knock my drag suspension...it was good for 1.17 last year and was only getting warmed up.

Ah Dirt you are a funny bugger :D

So now you are telling us you are like a NASCAR team. A different car for a different purpose LOL

cheers Bozzo.

Bit like you have a road car to drive on the road...and everyone elses track cars that you drive on the track :)

its nice to be nice

Who the fark plays squash or tennis? All these cars built to serve a purpose...sheesh. Just throw whatever parts you can get cheap 2nd hand at it and drive it until it catches fire or you crash into something. The fun is in driving an ill handling POS that doesnt do what it should ... but is fun trying to get the bastard to do stuff it shouldnt. It kind of works for me :).

Fark it...i have just convinced myself to enter. Need to give Fatz someone to chuck cans at! I know it really means he respects me.

Oooh, Steve-0s in... pretty gutsy entering a car that has run once in 3 years and is still in the workshop :D I'll bring the sawdust

And Advan Performance need to enter more cars... 4 isn't enough...

You're all farked now! Make sure you fit some tappety, tap bars 'cause no way anybody is passing me without losing some body parts :D

Cool, i also see that Gary has entered. R32 showdwon, RB20 vs RB30, Tein vs Bilstein  I best stay away from the dodgey curris here in India to make sure i am fighting fit for this. Or in fact maybe i shoudl hit the dodgy curries for 8 weeks or so to try and shed some unwanted kgs ? :P

I was in Roy, so it coulda been RB20/apexi V RB20/lotzanoise/Tein...... but sadly, F1 beckons....

On another note, I'm suprised at the lack of speculation re Berry's new 34..... i mean, I know it's a new car n all (assuming its finished in time), but the thing is pretty wild!!! Like, WILD!!!! :D

    • You Gregged a whole racetrack!?
    • Look for broken wire or bad connector at the motor. Might not be it, but is worth starting there, as it is easy.
    • Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my R32 GT-R. Sometimes, when the car goes over a bump or experiences some vibration, the 4WD warning light comes on the dashboard. When I check the code from the control unit in the trunk, it shows Code 19 – ETS Motor. However, everything seems to be working fine — if I turn off the engine and restart the car, the light goes away and everything functions normally. Has anyone experienced this before? Where should I start troubleshooting this issue? Thanks in advance!
    • I'm back from the dyno - again! I went looking for someone who knew LS's and had a roller dyno, to see how it shaped up compared to everything else and confirm the powerband really is peaking where Mr Mamo says it should. TLDR: The dyno result I got this time definitely had the shape of how it feels on the road and finally 'makes sense'. Also we had a bit more time to play with timing on the dyno, it turns out the common practice in LS is to lower the timing around peak torque and restore it to max after. So given a car was on the dyno and mostly dialled in already, it was time for tweaking. Luis at APS is definitely knowledgable when it came to this and had overlays ready to go and was happy to share. If you map out your cylinder airmass you start seeing graphs that look a LOT like the engine's torque curve. The good thing also is if you map out your timing curve when you're avoiding knock... this curve very much looks like the inverse of the airmass curve. The result? Well it's another 10.7kw/14hp kw from where I drove it in at. Pretty much everywhere, too. As to how much this car actually makes in Hub Dyno numbers, American Dyno numbers, or Mainline dyno numbers, I say I don't know and it's gone up ~25kw since I started tinkering lol. It IS interesting how the shorter ratio gears I have aren't scaled right on this dyno - 6840RPM is 199KMH, not 175KMH. I have also seen other printouts here with cars with less mods at much higher "kmh" for their RPM due Commodores having 3.45's or longer (!) rear diff ratios maxing out 4th gear which is the 1:1 gear on the T56. Does this matter? No, not really. The real answer is go to the strip and see what it traps, but: I guess I should have gone last Sunday...
