GTS4WD
The trick is to get custom plates that with the generic layout so you pay less for them and are still half understandable Im sick of: "why are you slow for a doctor?" (OO)SKYLINE(OO)
If you got nothing else to spend money on, then go ahead. IMO they are a waste of money, nothing gained except a "nicer" looking number plate. Number plates just a number plate. GTS4WD
I think its not a bad idea. It kinda brings the car together in a complete "theme" And sexual number plates and attempted pick up lines on plates should carry heavy heavy penalties and loss of licence! Yo-Yo
I have personalised plates, and yes they are a waste of money. it was either that or light up cigars with $100 bills Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248451-are-prestige-personalised-plates-a-waste-of-money/#findComment-4312932 Share on other sites
Chris#3
It comes down to the plate....the plates enzo or r35-gtr would be worth a lot more than the plates r322nv. NA_Goodness
$2200 for number plates? I paid $200 for mine!! In WA, you can get [XX ## WA], so i got [NA 33 WA]. Its an NA (Naturally Asperated) 33 (R33) from WA (Western Australia). I love them, but I'd prefer something a little more personaly. Like a work or something. PM-R33
Custom plates give the car a bit of character and atleast people can call the car by the name, i know i refer to all my mates car's by their custom plates. Better then saying, "you know that silver R32 GTR with the 5 spoke wheels...." So IMO not a waste of money at all, however there are certain circumstances where i think money has been thrown down the drain completely on certain plates. Yo-Yo
I'll have paid $2200 for my plates if I kept them for 13.5 years, damn RTA and their annual fees I got NII-54N which was supposed to just be a phonetic spelling of Nissan, but I had a stranger admiring my car, who happened to speak japanese, point out it also spells the japanese word for big brother I hadn't realised lol so it was kind of cool, like getting 2 for the price of 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/248451-are-prestige-personalised-plates-a-waste-of-money/#findComment-4315958 Share on other sites
