For those who are not familiar with this car it would have to one of the best R33 GT-R's in the world.

The power, handling and braking of this car is out of this world, and believe it or not it's registered and looks stock under the bonnet.

If only I wasn't building a house at the moment.... :)

Whoever buys this car is getting the bargain of the century...

So, who's putting their hand up for it????

Wow... that's the RPMGTR on racepace's website right?

Absolutely awesome. Ben must be sad to see it go.

It doesn't belong to Ben, he sold it to a customer over a year now, but the current owner needs to get rid of it.

I've posted it in here hoping someone in Melb buys it so we can still see it every now and then....

OIC. Good idea.

Weapon... well worth the 75k asking price.

Agreed!! Been in this machine, can't believe the performance and response on it, even more suprising is the sound that comes out of it (or may I say the lack of sound) :(

The perfect street / track car combination one can get.

Lol that makes no sense at all.... unless you have the window down and your were going 400km/h.

No actually it makes perfect sense....1/2 of the muscles holding your face onto your skull will be broken under accel and the rest will snap when you brake :)

oh but mike the 33 is such a WHALE... i mean its so huge i cant even have it on a hoist because it always breaks them... every time i need work done on the car i actually have to use superman's hair to hang it.....

i mean its like a whole 37grams heavier than a 32.....

i mean its like a whole 37grams heavier than a 32.....

Still, its not like any of that weight is due to the larger/better/more powerful/torquey engine, or better/stronger gearbox...

Last time I checked, all R33's are over the power to weight ratio, whereas only some R32's are, on a technicality.... lol

I would by it if it still had the big single and external gate on it :P Oh hang on, when you are fast you dont need noise, smoke and mirrors to convince people otherwise.

Hope the car goes to a good home....if desire was currency i would have to be pretty close to being able to afford it :/

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
