Well I couldn't honestly say it is my last car... my progression of cars is as can be expected:

1974 Torana

Mazda 929 - Yes yes girls car but never ever broke down. .

95 Lancer GSR

X-trail

Tommi Makinen Evo 6.5

AXIS Stagea

But reckon I will be keeping the wagon longer, mainly due to the car being so bloody practical and fun to drive.

I only aim to own a few further cars to complete my want list:

2001 Audi RS4 Avant - Surprisingly affordable now and power to boot

2005 Evo 8 FQ-400 - which is do-able as you can import an Evo 8, just need to find one for sale, trust me I am looking

R35 GTR some time in the future

But stag is here to stay for some years to come

Nope wont be my last car. As i have found something else and my 260RS is now for sale  .

Awesome car dont get me wrong, but after the mission i have with mine anyone could understand how the whole stagea thing has been a bit tainted for me.

Really is the ultimate family car IMO.

I just want something i can enjoy with the family now (a 4wd i can take OFFroad) and also will be setting the R34 up soon as a toy.

Its been short but fun.

id like to think it is... i love my car to pieces... but after my last bout with sourcing replacement brakes came up unsuccessful im having second thoughts... i know i can always upgrade the fronts to something a little more common. but it annoyed the shit out of me when every brake place said sorry cant help you...

call me crazy but i have had my eyes on those r32 golfs... 3.2 litre na v6 in a car half the length of a stagea... pretty tempting... i would like to see how they go down the quarter... they sound nuts when they get the boot in... if parts get scarcer than they already are i think it will goodbye stagea but not for about 5 or so years... maybe after i buy a house and dont need to move fridges and washing machines for a while ill get rid of it or pass it onto the missus

if you have old pads in the shed send me a PM, happy to drop them to racebrakes to be matched to some RB74's

he modified the mountings on other pads to suit my S1

thanks but i got my pads relined but ill remember you when the time comes around :D

Hell no. I'll drive this one for a couple of years then get the new Infiniti G37 Convertible.

Skyline coupe - 4wd, 4ws, v6 3.6 motor with a hard top convertible

Should be able to bring them in 2nd hand from japan by the time my ARX hits 100,000 ks

Yum

If needed, I could get one for my next mid-life crisis. LOL

I think the only crisis I'll be having will be if the missus thinks I want to spend anymore money on cars. I have been promising her I will stop for a while now (have to sneakily get mods done that she can't see when the cars in for a service) Oh the joy of fitting a boost controller and Emanage ultimate he he he. :D

Evomitchy I hate you also, (How do you give a guy shit who has two awesome evos and a cool stagea???)

Won't be my last car as i'm on 20 and i'm already on my 4th car :D ... But i think the Stagea is one car i'd keep as a project if i brought a daily driver in the near future.. how many show quality Stagea's do you see? or Stagea's with the potential to do 10's?.. Id like to do something different.. pull the RB25 out and sell it to make way for a 30/26 or pick up a cheap Supra or Aristo half cut and do a 2JZ-GTE conversion (puts flame suit on)..

Nothing wrong with that mate, as my friends car demonstrates. Thats a Holden ute with a 2JZ under the hood, that we tested at Calder a couple of weeks back. Pulled a 12.39 which aint too shabby. LOL we even getting a sticker made up for the rear that says "Powered by Toyota" for a laugh :D

My Stagea WAS my old man's last car.

Not too sure if I'll keep it forever, but it does have some sentimental value, and it's a damn nice all-rounder, so I'll keep it for the foreseeable future...

Our S2 has been a great allround car for the past 3 years. Our 3 year old daughter loves going boosting, but the car has been off the road for around 8 weeks now. It started with a blown head gasket 2 days before new years. Head gasket fixed ok. Then told ecu was stuffed (running ruff). If the Vi-pec ecu board doesn't hurry up and turn up it won't be our last car!!!!! LOL and crack another beer. Was told I would have car back today. Looks like I we have wait another week. Sounds like demand is high for this new Aussie brand!

no chance my stagea will be my last car (actually buying another one out of jp atm) but who says you have to get rid of a car just because a new one comes along.

the stagea will be with us for at least 5 years more, until everything starts getting a bit old for its job (daily/driving the kids/towing to race meets). As long as it stays reliable I can't think of anything I would replace it with.

Stagea all the way for me, its just too practical, too functional, too good of a driving experience to ever sell.

All that I want/need in a car.

-it fits 650 litre fridges in the back.

-it fits 6ft of me in the back when camping.

-i can fall asleep in the back looking up at the stars and not get wet.

-it go's fast in a straight line and around corners.

-it cruises smooth, hardly hear the motor or the road.

-it's got cup holders.

-it's got xenons that are nice and bright, no hi-beams needed.

-My dog Paddy even loves it, each time the garage door is open, he runs in

and sits next to the drivers door and looks at me as if to say 'Hurry up get in lets go'.

pss. i want to buy a few more Stags, 1 for each family member.

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
