results still not straightened out, but it looks like all the SAU crowd made it through day 1 intact, well done everyone.

In particular Ben is 1st in Classic by a mile.

Snowy is 1st in rookie (I think, some results still missing)

Targa Tom is 1st in Evo class (sorry I mean showroom), by almost a minute. Great job.

It looks like Quinn (GTR woot) 1st, Richards, White, Jones (GTR again)....Alford 10th, Leemhuis 18th, Russ 20th.

In Early Modern: Shaw, Walsh, Beeble (GTR).....Thatcher/Handley 11, sav man down in 38, I guess they've had some trouble?

yep the 33 crew is out of the running but not out of the event. old Manion had a spin and got stuck in the mud on stage 3 this morning and missed the next stage so 2 dropped stages. apparently if they had a front diff they would have got the 4wd out. ben said they tried to use the HKS atezza controller to pull them out but with no luck.

Ben also had a few spins. apparently using a gravel escape road then using all his dorift skills he has lean from me did a hand-breaky 180 much to the amusement of everyone watching.

Good on the Nissans.

Still a great effort from the SAU guys today, we haven't lost anyone so far (except Ben/Sav really)

Modern: Quinn (GTR), Weeks, Richards, White, Jones (GTR), Alford 13th, Russ 15th, Leemhuis 17th. Great job in particular from Russ who has come miles through the field from 20th today.

Early Modern: Shaw, Walsh, Beeble (GTR), Ayres (GTR), Moore(GTR), Bergmann (GTR) Thatcher/Handley 12th, sav man still hanging in there in last after penalty time for yesterday.

Targa Tom is leading Evo class by over a minute.

Marlin is still hanging in the lead of Classic, but they are getting caught slowly. I assumed they would go quicker after the exhaust got ripped off in stage 16

Snowy is leading Rookie Rally by over a minute too, well done. 2nd is another GTR Jorgensen.

Damo...Ben obviously lives by Neil's slogan too....."if you can't go fast, look good"

well rookie is over and Snowy wone that. good on you snow man and the Z-Tune looks the goods to. because he wone he gets free entry into the full event next year. i hope to see it back.

After analyzing the data off bens (sav) Track mate we found that he pulls 1.7 Geez (G-Force) in braking, but that also lead to the demise of a rear brake rotor by the start of longford (last stage for today). So i have just got home from a drive to Devenport to pick up a replacement pair of rotors and fitting them.

Also Apexi Power FC pros with launch control are the shit. just ask ben.

its good to see all the GTR's up there and so close together.

i would also like to point out that there was even a r31 2 door entered this year giving the skyline an appearance in R31 to 35.

I woke up to RAIN today! its going to be a fun day.

plus its RAINED heavy all night so things are going to get loose.

So those guys I saw at BP on Wellington Street yesterday in their Datsun 510 SSS are going to have fun considering they brought wet tyres for wet or dry?

Awesome :P

    • Wanna rewrite all of that in, say, 2 or 3 separate sentences, so that we can read it?
    • Just yesterday the car started to shake a bit when idle. So tomorrow ima test the some wires and packs with the multimeter and see what it is. Hopefully is a pack because thats the easiest thing to buy same day here where I live in the USA.
    • shot myself in the leg and now last night I have shaking when I idle lol
    • I'm not a big fan of the Cometic gaskets either, as above the head and deck need to be like a mirror (can't remember the RA) so Kamieri sounds like a good idea.  FWIW a mate of mine hordes old motor stuff and has some blank unground Nizmo cams for one of these in his supply if random shit if you're interested.
