HCR32 GTSt vs GTSt Type M?

hmm so how do i know if i got a R33 type M or not, it came with GTR bodykit/spoiler dual airbags(series 2)... 16 x 6.5 nissan alloys.. is it a type M ?

Thats right Ed, all 2-door R33 GTS25-t`s are "Type M`s"...

... but there are a re couple of 4-door GTS25-t`s that are referred to as "Type G`s"...

two things ive noticed between the early model 32's (89) and mine (92 type M).

they have BLUE dash's as you can see from this link

also, ive seen a few pics of some with analog slider climate control, not the digital face/buttons.

So the older ones have blue dash and newer ones don't, mine is supposedly (from dealer) a 93 type-m

yep the older ones have blue dash guages. Also the older ones don't have clear front indicators. I've changed mine to the older clearer ones as I think they look a little better.

Another diff i've noticed is that the older ones are rated as being a little lighter.

mine does not have the clear front indicators, or the blue dials, spose nothing is hard and fast for Jap imports, there will always be inconsistancies.

sorry Pekatu your car is a '93 right? In that case it won't have the clear front indicators or blue dials. Only earlier models 89,90 etc had these.

i have a 92 and it has blue dials and clear indicators and its a type M...

ahh well, there goes my theory of the blue dials, unless theyve been swapped over.

Blue dials are definately only on early R32's. But they do look better than the grey ones so I guess a lot of people swap them.
