I swear, getting my car was the ****ing worst thing thats ever happened to me...

first i stack it.. (fine its my fault, I live, learn, move on, become a better person)

then i get it back, a week later some1 steals my boot badge from outside my house (ok its just a boot badge, live on)

last week some1 puts a massive dent in my freshly painted door (ok, so you don't leave your car in dodgy carparks at uni - park in the secure ones)

today, in the newest, most SECURE car park with CAMERAs at monash ****ing uni, some ****face decides to puncture my door, break my dash to pieces and steal my head unit and go thru my shit. ****ING HELL!!! I can't stand this shit any more. I'm supposed to be studying for ****ing exams, instead I spend my afternoon running to the security office, the police station etc and after having spent $7000 on my car in the last 3months, another $1000+ has to go down the drain. I'm a struggling uni student for ****s sake. Even my ****ing dash and indicators don't work!!!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I should have just sold out ages ago

*END RANT*

hopefully the theif was caught on camera, i will find out in a few days whether they were.

arsewipes hopefully they get reemed... maybe we should organise a stake out max and put another flashy skyline there as bait and wait around the corner with bats.

gee max.. sorry to hear about it...

multi level car park pretty much suck these days.... feel not really safe to park anywhere...

and always remove the head unit cost it's an obvious target for scumbag thieves!!! @#%$$^#$^

holy fking shit!

i was parked up in that carpark today as well!

actually there was a guy who was parking his R33 at about 10:30am this morning when i was running down my car.. nice R33 was that you? i have a blue r32gtst...

also there was a white r32 there as well i saw on my walk to the stairs...

shit! this has freaked me that it could have easily been my car...

gees, what has monash become.. i used to park anywhere i wanted till anytime without worrying...

i don't think changing cars will help cos it will happen to anyone, unless this person has something against skylines... most probably a commonwhore driver.

i think a stake out is a great idea... who's car we gonna used for bait?

farken losers i hope they get caught and spend a few years getting asss farked where they belong.

i'm so frustrated...

oh yeah wazR32GTSt, that was me in the morning, up on the top level at the end. I was gonna say hello but i had to go meet some ppl...

You'd think you'd be relatively safe in that carpark, thats why I parked there.

Oh yeah, looking for an R33 S1 dash face now, with the hazard buttons etc... That and frankly I'm taking offers for the car. I've honestly had enough shit

hmmm, hate to say, but this shit was happening 7 years ago or so when i was there. I remember my mates car got broken into to steal something or other. His car was the biggest piece of crap on earth, and yet they ripped out his lock and tried to wrench these $50 6x9's out the back. he was so pissed

It does make you wonder sometimes - but uni car parks aren't ever safe, and there are a lot of jealous punks out there as well.

    • Then, shorten them by 1cm, drop the car back down and have a visual look (or even better, use a spirit level across the wheel to see if you have less camber than before. You still want something like 1.5 for road use. Alternatively, if you have adjustable rear ride height (I assume you do if you have extreme camber wear), raise the suspension back to standard height until you can get it all aligned properly. Finally, keep in mind that wear on the inside of the tyre can be for incorrect toe, not just camber
    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
