P.S. FEAR you are a psycho......

Nar thought the briefing said you brake the hardest when you get 3 so i waited to 3 before i started breaking lol and need to over take from time to time on the main straight.

Damn it Brad!!! How many engines now?

Give me your engine and I'll build it just like my 26, in my tiny shed!!!.....bulletproof style!

That was number 3, yer a tiny shed style sounds good lol if its only the bigend will not be too hard to fix(cross's fingers)

Brad are you serious?

Fkn hell!

Yer i think it left go thought the kink off the main straight hoply it will be fixed for S&S 09 or i will just trailer it there and put the other plates on i have been thinking of ordering.

You let someone drive your car who measures the success of their car by how many kms it goes for and has a current record of sixty-something kays?

Brave!

Yeah he did more K's in my car yesterday than his own in 2 months

His GTR is cursed.

Wow, top day fellas. Great to meet lots more people, and all the usual faces. Cheers to all the organisers and to Ando's driver tuition, thanks mate. Hope you made it home without pooing your pants......

Love the Grand Prix circuit, i was shit scared of the turn coming onto the straight, not a huge fan of walls! But i stayed clear of them all day so went home a happy man.

REALLY Looking forward to the next one, the Oran Park track is the best, so many changes of direction, great fun unsettling the car like that, groovy.

Commiserations to the fellas with engines that let go, hope you can get them sorted soon.

Blue EVO was driven by Daniel Caprar... An old racer from way back (Used to have an R33 GTR). Very talented driver, who isn't afraid of smashing ripple strips to chase those laptimes :D

Lap after lap after lap after lap after lap.......... Impressive to watch him attack the flip-flop !

My car didn't make it (drivetrain gremlins sabotaged my day), so I was puttering around in the red BMW...

lol.... So that was you ! I did a fair bit of flag marshalling just before the flip-flop and all was pretty boring until some bloke in red BMW went flying over the flip-flop into the big dipper. But instead of re-appearing on the start of the main straight, all I saw was a giant cloud of tyre smoke. Was the only time I got to wave the yellow flag frantically :P But don't worry, I won't tell anyone it was you :D:P

I believe that SAU have booked another OP day in October. Hopefully we have GP layout again. Much more fun than South Circuit...

100% agree !!

Absolutely awesome, I was in the newb patrol, and although the drivers briefing was long, I learned alot from it. Thanks to everyone at SAU for putting this on, I was pretty nervous, but after a few laps you get the groove of it. That beast R33 white machine was loco, well done. Heres a quick video I did up for the day!

Video of Todays Ownage.

SKYLINES---->Best f'ing cars in the world..................

P.S. FEAR you are a psycho......

Can I hire Tokyo Drift Girls to clean my engine bay next time?

Awesome video compilation mate, love the start music!!! HAHAHAHAh Thanks for posting it up, saw my car a few times in the vid, sweet!!!

So were you the one flag marshalling that I had to give the thumbs down to as I drove past with a massive big end knock?

I was tempted to drive with the hazards on, but the guy in the drivers brief said to ignore all indicators... LOL

So "that's" what the thumbs down was all about ! I wasn't sure what happened since I could'nt hear the knock. You just drove past slowly with the thumb pointed south. All I could do was give you a thumbs up in return because at least you were "driving" back to the pits :P Hope it's all fixed up soon !

As always, SAU track days are the hottest ticket in town (nearly as hot as Fatz butt crack!), plenty of lap time and shits n giggles. :P

Well done to all involved in getting this day organised and all the flag marshalls. :P

Matt (MBS206) that was me at the flip flop - we knew you had dramas, I waved the yellow flag as you went past to let others know to be careful :(

Its good reading that everyone enjoyed the day!

OK, that makes more sense. One of the times I was marshalling a whole bunch of people went past at the end of a session and gave the thumbs up and 1 car went by very slowly with a thumbs down, so I'm guessing you were'nt the only one with issues Matt.

Could you hear the knock as Matt went by Chris ?

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
