I think it's called facepunch.

it's sick.

what happens is, every time somone starts a which bov thread, this device punches the kunt in the face.

you should get one.

wow your funny. i tried searching for it and i couldnt find 1.

how about u come and try punch me in the face, i hate e-thugs

i didnt tell u to come in here and reply so f#%k off loser

I want to know what the best SOUNDING BOV is and also what the best PERFORMANCE BOV is!

they could be different BOV's or it could just be 1 that has both great sound and great performance.

i want flutter at low rpm if possible.

flutter at low rpm?

You can buy something like a Tial or a Turbosmart V-port. You'll have to wind the spring tension right off so it'll probably open up if you run any kind of real boost.

Ive been wondering about that bov from GFB i think which you can change from full atmosphere to plumback jst by twisting it. Fact is bovs are illegal so you might as well stick with stock gtr or jst dont run anything at all so you get the low rpm flutter your after.

BOVs are only illegal in VIC and SA. Definitely ok in QLD. We don't have the same EPA laws they have. I think that is changing soon but for now it's all good.

Dunno where this guy lives though.

I got defected for BOV VTA a couple of months ago around the corner from the erd head office :P should I have contested it?

OP: I have a Tial 50mm sounds good just a nice quick exiting of air no silly putchuu chu cheeeee ft ft chu

If your car is stock why do you want to chang it?

A fully sik uleh BOV can increase a car's performance by 50% the longer the flutter the more powah it makes.

WTF is a performance BOV? if you want a "performance BOV" use the stock one!

bought a r33 with hks bov fitted already. car stalled randomly, swapped it with someones stock one, they were stoked, now it runs fine. moral of the story is they attract attention from cops, they do f*@k all for performance, illegal in some states, and can actually make your car run shit if its running a stock ecu! be an individual keep the stock one and save your money for something that needs fixing. if you drive it like a man that that shouldn't be long:)

  • 9 months later...

all the bovs basically makethe same pshhhh shit except the cheap oones will prob break or leak under more boost if you want a bov noise get a good branded one but my opinion since they are the first thing cops look for just block stock one off and flutter away sounds better than bov and not defectable and also should have your car tuned to running with atmos or no bov to help with the stalling and stuff or if you dont tune it gona have to adapt your driving style so it doesnt stall.

dose pipe with multiple bends to amplify the kilowatts generated by the fluttering

dude there messing with you

the flutter although it sounds great it actualy doing damage to you turbo!!!.

if you have your bov spring too loose it doeasnt vent properly so the air is forced back through your turbo (the wrong way ) to the

doooo dooo do do dod do do noise you hear is the blades of your turbo cutting through the air .

as for bov increasing power im no expert but if that were true it would be stated in the sticky about skyline power mods .

Flutter is caused by the lack of a BOV. Theres another 11ty billion page debate thread on whether its dangerous or not.

    • Man, different parts but the same numbers is terrible @dbm7! And it doesn't help that most online shops don't list the part numbers at all. They just give a list of compatible models...
    • Slow when hot could also be because its getting more dynamic compression, OR things are getting a bit tighter once it is all expanded. If it were an earthing issue, typically I'd expect you to have it have issues all the time. Unless it's really a combination of both things. Where the higher compression, and things being a bit tighter, is giving that bit of extra load and you do need a slight clean up on the cables/connections.
    • Yeah, this is one of the most annoying things about nissan part numbers... I've got an unrelated example... Image is of the AT output shaft ~ they have the same part#, but clearly the shaft on the left is beefier design to that on the right ...the difference (essentially) is the 'lighter' shaft on the right, is for engines up to RB25DE (this includes RB20 variants) : the shaft on the left is for RB25/26DET(T)....are they interchangeable? Yes...but obviously one shaft is going to be stronger than the other...and, the lighter shaft is around USD115, but the heavier shaft closer to USD150...same part#... ...epc-data usually tells a tale ~ the amayama listing for 39100-23U60 has a note "Longest side is between 60 and 105 cm" ; no such info is there for 39100-23U70 ...and given the great disparity in price between the 2 parts, it makes me at least curious (to the point of caution) where the 'extra money' went? ...ie; these 2 parts have a cost difference that (to myself at least) isn't explained by 'plastic boot'...ie; with amayama there's AUD700 price difference ...plastic versus rubber?...I'm not seeing it like that...and 60cm ~ 105cm...??...that's a huge disparity....something hinky going on here... I'd try searching by VIN, not model... /2cents
    • I don't know for sure, but I'd expect them all to be interchangeable given the diff end and hub end don't move/change between any C34 series. Often Nissan will change part numbers and the aftermarket follows those year ranges; but the original part number change doesn't mean other parts won't fit. The change could be a change in material, internal parts or even just supplier. For example, all the RB gearbox to engine bolts are no longer available and there is a new part number instead. The only change is they went from cadmium plated bolts to zinc plated due to the issues manufacturing with Cadmium. They look different but work the same.
