bringing a GPS this time Phil? :):):):P

i remember i missed a few as well

Thanks for explaining usuall day progress Roman. I think its good fun... only thing is as philmak says, remembering the way around cones hehe

I will most likely miss this DECA but some of the future ones id like to do.

Just curious, but how does AWD fair vs. RWD?

My mate is coming in his Evo and we were discussing which would be better.

My instincts tell me a nice AWD car like a Evo, WRX or GTR would dominate, but from some the videos I've seen of past events a skilled RWD driver can really throw their car around nicely.

hahahha yeah roman, im keen as to get the layout!!!

Ive got to draw up some maps on ms paint or point me in the right direction

Pete coming down again?

yah Peter will probably come down as well,

but im seriusly considering staying there on Sat night,

last time i drove home from DECA, i was dead tired, makes it too dangerous to drive

but i think the problem was that i always end up working till 12am and not getting enough sleep Friday night

Its bad that you missed the May DECA, coz everyone was missing cones, especialy on the Longwang

Ive sent test fax's to people and they got them fine, so the fourth time iv'e faxed my crap through is final ! youv'e got x3 applications from me ryan,

x1 from david talbot who forgot to mention he was part of SAU

x1 from karlos who is getting cam's or equiv on the day and mailed his SAU membership application on monday

x1 from daniel garber who is also getting cam's on day, and applied for sau membership on monday.

what a head ache. Vince your doing my entry again next time !

i was thinking stay friday night, so fresher to drive on the saturday, then power nap if need be on the drive home on the saturday night... depends on accom pricing i guess. will thread be up here or in member section?

Forms sent via e-mail and deposit payed today! Can't wait!

our cars look rather similar, but yours is cleaner :pirate:

does that mean that the Pulsar is making a return in a manual form, or still automatic?

i think it will be the death of the auto!

Gazelle D - Lucks not on your side eh? Hope you get the entry forms in before the lists fill up LOL

the fax went through yesterday evening after i saw another bad reply from the organiser.

considering i personally asked ryan at last months members night for this day to definetly happin and i was the first one to post a reply on the actual thread

majorly stressed now cause iv'e already made accomodation plans, got the friday off work and ive been over workin myself just to get the car finnished off. Even though it was driveable at the last deca, i still had lots of fiddly stuff to do, not to mention a bloody wheel alignment.

Not happy

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
    • I feel there must have been a FB/insta post and the weekend did not start well at all I hope everyone is all okay
    • Yeah, I guess its pretty easy to get to if this doesn't work. Just wait till next oil change and pull it out. I am going to have to do the oil pan gasket soon and thought I'd just replace it while I was there.  Thanks
    • All that matters is you're safe and you were able to type that post. Hopefully heaps of parts you can recover for the next shell.
