Man that is without doubt one of the best and cleanest 32s i have ever seen. Price is very reasonable for a car in that condition. There are plenty of GTRs with that power on standard internals that have no problems at all. Go and buy ur 89 model GTR with some mods from japan and then spend your 5K on mods and see if it compares. Not to mention the body work it will need.

Good luck with the sale.

Cheers

Why was my post deleted? I can't remember what I posted, so reading the rules is not going to help me correct whatever error I made. Anyone know why? prank?

Richard

can u send me full spes on what went into the engine, he didn't say the piston wern't forgies who knows they might of been, i think it is stupid to replace all the shit inside the engine n do all that work without putting them in, tho at the time of doing it, it mightn't of been wanted, it is a very nice car and would like some more info on it can u send it to [email protected]

Thanks

I have known the workshop that did the engine build for 2-3years now.

I enquired about what was done to the engine and the builder said the pistons are standard. I also asked if the headgasket could be saved if I bought the car and wanted to put forged pistons in it. He told me it would be 50/50 chance so I factored into completing the build with purchasing a new gasket.

I love the fact that it looks a real sleeper (if you can call a r32 gtr a sleeper).

I've never been in the car but i've seen it when it made the 400hp+ reading on the dyno.

Guys enough chatting about the car - keep opinions about its engine rebuilt or price arguements out of this thread.

Thank you

Its not my opinion Nick, I know what has been done to the engine because I asked the workshop that built it.

Bbenny isn't answering queries about his Dad's car as quick as I can. I'm only helping the guys out that have asked questions about the rebuild.

Sorry not interested in the XR trade, but thanks anyway.

As for the offer of 32K if anyone is serious about purchasing this car, please call Peter on 0412764929.

and also, please no chatting on here, its becoming a long thread. if you have any questions PM me.

Cheers.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
