Howdy Guyz,

Hope everyone is well; I've been offline for a while working my azz off!

Looking forward to my 2nd DECA event as the first one in May was a hoot and I've developed some type of crazy motorkhana withdrawal symptom after the first dose! Is there such thing as a tarmac challenge red cone chemical inbalance? :(

FYI: DECA dollars already deposited and will be emailing my entry form tomorrow after I locate my CAMS passport thats floating around home somewhere!

Cheers

Ben

form sent via e-mail, and money sent as well :( . time to get my new tyres and brake pads and shift kit installed now.

shift kits are very worth while... TJ has had his trans built by RVO, i have had maintenance done by them, seem like a good bunch. My knox autos shift kit is great, but dont rate them as a workshop

yea ill be getting 4 spare tyres this time, ima use the same rears and finish them off and run re55 on the front....without ABS....

is 180sx ABS any good anyway?

AASA form:

Club_Racing_License_Application.pdf

i forgot to attach the other form so i sent another e-mail and this time attached both lol sorry about that.

yeah alot of people say the shift kit is worthwhile i also got a bigger trans cooler to go with it and some new defi gauges lol. ive been preparing for a while, i just got to get it all put on now. ive herd good things about RVO but they are on the other side of melbourne. luckily where i get my car worked on just around the corner is an auto tran shop that has fitted a few of these which is perfect.

entry list updated.

there are 2 names missing at the moment. this is because when they are converted to email the attachment is lost. i will have them tommorow so do not worry if you are not on there yet. (those sent between 9-930 wed morning)

money transfered and forms faxed. will get licence on the day

ppl. be prepared to watch a total noob make a fool of himself

There's generally lots of competition for that title, especially me this time. I'm coming with my daily, a CE Lancer with a few performance, but no handling mods.

I will be faxing my entry today.

ill take it this time hahahaha. never done anything like this and still not 100% used tot he power. oh well it will be fun though

Danes bringing the better car!! haha

Very funny Ryan..

Haha I knew you'd put something like that there Ryan...

Well I can't just throw RE55's with tread in the bin, even if they are 5 years old. They will get a DECA farewell, which is fitting as DECA was the place that ruined them in the first place! :mrt:

    • Clutch is a spec brand, new clutch system,( PP, flywheel, friction disc, etc. pull type) installed 100 miles ago, with no problems.
    • looking for some help and maybe some insight on others experience with a new LSD. R34 GT ran and drove beautifully, but always alot of grip loss due to the open R200 rear end, so I just installed a new 1.5 LSD way into the stock open R200 for a ER34. Simple. Everything seemed right. I test drove for the first time this weekend. as I started to back out the garage the first time slowly with tires straight it sounded and felt like I had a loose or half disconnected drive shaft...that was clucking around loose and shaking entire vehicle, and making it feel like the trans clutch was spontaneously slipping then grabbing very roughly while just letting out pedal slowly. I backed it out went to pull forward with the same noise, shake and slip grab feeling with hesitation, I turned the tires to back out more and then pulled ahead some same thing but worst because of added wheel resistance (which that I expected) puzzled … pulling it back in checking everything over and finding nothing wrong, I tried it the next day. same thing, couldn’t believe how it shook everything again making a terrible noise and making it feel like the trans clutch was slipping and grabbing, but I got it out of garage into the driveway, got it straight, drove forward and then reveres a few times in a straight line everything shaking , causing what felt like clutch slip and grab every time, sounded like right behind front driver tire and I could feel it in the floor board with my feet,... worst right when beginning to let clutch pedal out to engage slightly, shuttering and sounding terrible along the way…I managed to slowly get down the road, babying it the whole way, once I was rolling (out of 1st) seemed to be better and between shifts, then clutch felt closer to normal…not slip/ grab etc., but back down to any stop, straight road or turning, same thing. Made no difference if all tires were straight or if I was turning. All other gauge read out correct. with in 2 miles as planned I reached the empty parking lot and performed the break in procedure that came with lsd, essentially to drive in a figure 8 a bunch.  Did this, binding chattering, and shaking the car the whole way. I drove it back home seemed somewhat normal once I was in straight line and past 10 mph or so, and I know it will “bind” on corners and cause some tires squeal when turning especially from a stop, but when I begin to move it still causes what feels like the trans clutch to slip and jerk badly as well as shaking the entire car, and sounds terrible, that I didn’t expect. I used the fluid they supplied with LSD kit and did the breaking, planning to change fluid as they suggest after breaking, but wondering will it get smoother or less aggressive with use? maybe a 1.5 is just too aggressive for normal road driving?   I have a LSD that I put in my 71 cuda when I restored it, with amazing smooth , quite yet effective results. Different style LSD but that ones a joy to drive. maybe expecting too much from this R200?
