No idea about the camry comment... But theres a stagea on the central coast with green numberplates but i cant remember them but I dont know who he is do you? I try to wave when i see him but dont notice a wave back...

Drew.

Who was it that said my car was the "green Camry-looking thing..." over the CB's? :)

Even worse is that someone didn't know what a Stagea was - there are a few up Newcastle way, and they are on the forums too! :/

Don't think that comment came from anyone in our group...??? I recognised your hulk sticker on the back! We saw you coming from behind and everyone was saying "stagea behind us"!!! Most of us are on the forums a fair bit and recognised your sticker and said "that's Goldzilla"!!!

Was prolly someone else on the channel, there was some interference. We were on channel 25 which is the same channel the RTA road workers use...

Hope to see the stageas out on the cruise on 26/11! :P

Yesterday:

approx 1230pm Gunmetal 32 (perhaps a GT-R?) on Narellen rd - Campbelltown, chromies, driver was smoking, looked to have red-seat covers.

between 5 and 530: Appin road Campbelltown: Black 34

Appin rd, Appin: Dark Blue 32 & a hot Pink 33.

as well as a slammed S2000 with 19chromies being scrutinised by 2 rather unhappy looking cops... and an even unhappier driver.

around 11:45 pm last night:

"KLR33" just headed out of Albion Park around Wollongong.

and on appin rd around the coal mines, some douchebag in a yellow Supra with massive white rims, didnt know what the left lane was for in an overtaking zone, sat on his ass for a few 100m waiting for him to give way, so i gave up and zotted up the inside.

spotted black 32gtst near lane cove turnoff pacific highway

and a couple of 33s around the joint

Spotted MR R33 @ Rockdale plaza carpark friday night about 6 pm. I'm in love with that front bar man. If I was to get R33 it would have that bar, simply sex on wheels.

Spotted a few lines around deewhy beach yesterday.

A white N/A R33 parked on the south end of the beach.

A silver R34 GT-T prowling through the carpark on the North end of the beach...

Also cruised from the city all the way back to the Pennant Hills M2 exit with a white R33 GTS-T with black wheels.. AZA-07X or similar.. Got a flash and a wave.

Hmm, not sure who that might be... There are two silver Stageas up Newcastle way - "beastien" (Brendan - Raymond Terrace) and "Mum's Taxi" (Krissy - Newcastle, I think), but not sure who has green plates...

Hahaha, I didn't think anyone really took notice of the Hulk sticker! I spotted you guys from a fair bit back too, made easier by the fact you were pretty much all together.

Yeah, I should be on the cruise set for the 26th...

Spotted a white R34 GTT getting BIG sideways action in front of me onto the great western turning off carlisle avenue, pulled up next to him and it was a guy who was like 50! haha anyone on here?

Also spotted a mazda with flames and crap all over it with the number plate Q2CDIS, he got out of his car at the servo and was wearing a jacket that he got made up to have his number plate on the front and back of it, gave me a good laugh.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
