(POSITIVE)

0 to 100 6.5sec

It can reach 150+ MILE flat. 250kph

Check this one out (NEGATIVE)

Top gear

Well i reckon u can beat it if u know how to launch it!

those videos helped alot especialy the one that was negative haha. i dont get one thig a stock

R33 is 184 KW but i dynoed my car and the max power at 7 psi (standard) it gave me 154.Any

idea y was that.i have a FMIC and a full Nismo Exaust.

are you talking about stock vs stock

or are you talking about mods as well?

if your talking about mods then exhaust, intercooler, tyres, boost controller, ecu, boost to 12psi and a good tune

will beat him no problems, youll be surprised what a mild gtst can beat with a good driver

if your talking stock and no mods then drop tyre pressure (dont keep it at 40psi) in the rear

learn how to drive and how to launch and go for it, your best bet is to out-launch him (dont rev to 5k, but above 2k) and go from there

turning up the boost on a bog stock gtst will add a touch more power, but its far from making the car twice as quick going from 5psi to 11psi

the stock exhaust, ecu, tune, intercooler, intake will hold the car back a bit even with more boost stuffed in

stock gtst will do 140rwkw on the dyno and with a touch more boost you might get lucky and see 150rwkw

the crossfire you posted makes less power, but more torque

it depends on how heavy it is as well and the skyline is around 1400kg so check its weight

the crossfire might have more average power (sounds like it) vs the skyline

but the skyline has good diff gears which gives it great acceleration

My R34 destroyed a manual Crossfire. By the time i was in second he was a car length behind... and 3rd just kept pulling.

It had an exhaust and 12psi.

That however was the non-supercharged version. What version has this guy got. The charged ones do 12s pretty damn easy

Thanx for the advice mate.yeh its just the launch that stuffs me up some times i mean the car just spins out will practice on my launch,

am alrite with the shifting part.well ill get a boost control next week. i already have a FMIC,Exaust,HKS POD and a High Flow Cat.

i dynoed it a month back and it gave me 154 KW at the wheels on standard boost.

dono if its a super charged version will ask him, probability is its the non-supercharged version

R33 GTS-T's had an air feed to the stock air box right..?

If you still have the stock air box, you could just bolt on the air feed (Cold Air Intake / CAI) to feed air to the HKS Pod, that will help with a bot more air...

wow dude u need to get some boost up, POD and then i nice tuned.

Mods i got on my r34 is (3 inch) full zorst, Pod, 10 psi and a tune. 180rwkw

FMIC and fuel pump is next soon for me. and abit more boost ofcorse (12 psi) hehe

~1440kg

Guys - pods ARE a wank, all they do is make noise and make your car illegal if you're running a FMIC. The difference in power would be so minimal you'd not even notice it. Just get a high flow panel.

sounds good. So does it still make the noise or i have to put a BOV in..

I tend to disagree - If you have a CAI with a POD AND a source/duct for some cold air, then the pod will do a better job then the stock airbox.

btw - the dudes making 154rwkw with a full exh/fmic/7psi??? Isnt that a tad low? Give her a full service and throw in some new plugs. Check the base timing as well.

Reason why i say that, I made 175rwkw with just a catback and an Apexi pod and peak 9psi. Not comparing - just saying that it sounds a tad low.

yeh thats what i thought aswell, well its up for servicing next week.getting the boost controler aswell

so lets c what it gives me after that.i guess i need a proper tune, cuz some times it backfires, not exactly

a back fire more like a POP

If he's running stock boost (7psi?), an exhaust system plus a front mount would rightfully yield about 154rwkw. Front mount intercooler is more of a support mod for higher boost level rather than resulting in a power increase after install...if you don't up the boost you aren't going to see a great deal of benefit from it. Remember that the R33 RB25DET produces 184kw stock at the fly...at a drivetrain loss of say 25%, we would see circa 138rwkw. So 154rwkw sounds on target to me with those mods.

Ultimategtr has an R34, with the NEO engine producing 206kw at the fly and about 155rwkw in stock configuration. An exhaust system and 9psi would rightfully yield another 20rwkw or so.

Then throw in factors like the age of the cars, engine mileage, dyno differences etc.

:P .am getting a manual boost controler.if i set it up to 11 and leave it on 11 all the time

would it make a difference.cuz i have heard the digital boost controlers give you problems

in showing the actual boost?

    • 2001 BE5D Subaru Legacy B4 RSK (3rd gen) EJ208 (pink injector) Twin Turbo 280PS 5-speed manual Full time 4WD "RSK" grade which means all of the above LQC option which means stock rear spoiler  I got it primarily to export to someone outside Japan who was interested. These BE5 Legacy B4 RSKs are going through a bit of a resurgence right know in Japan as they are one of the few cars from the "turbo, manual, RWD/4WD, 280hp gentleman's agreement era" cars that don't require stupid money to purchase. Which for some people might be a good opportunity to get as a base for restoration. If I can't find anyone to purchase it I will certainly be doing that myself over the long term. Why? Because it's properly fast in stock form, handles well enough for a GT sedan, there's still enough aftermarket and (if you can wait a while) genuine part support to make it a restoration candidate (<-- that will only get worse over time so it's a case of do it now or choose get a BL5 4th Gen). Mechanically it's fine, has only 89,200kms on the odometer. The problem with this car is that the body and exterior trims are weathered from at least the last 10 years being parked outdoors. I'm the 3rd owner, the first owner was the one that had it for 14 years and barely drove it, had a low-speed front impact (which didn't damage anything behind the radiator support) and got it fixed and sold it. The 2nd owner put most of the kms on it and parked it outside for the last 10 years, hence the door rubbers have seen better days but if you overlook those cosmetic details, it presents pretty nicely. There is some minor rust on the LH rear wheel arch which I'll have looked at too at some stage.  Also as you'd expect from a car this age, the clear top coat is gone, leaving a satin finish on the roof.  Mechanically it's fine (as you would expect from a car with less than 100K kms) but the steering does feel slightly vague around the centre position at higher speeds. So first on the list is to get the steering rack bushes looked at. There's also the Lock button on the remote which doesn't work, but the Open button does.... it means that the anti-theft system thinks it's always open? It seems like if you open the car and don't start the engine within 3 mins or so the anti-theft kicks in again without any beeps or signals. So if you got to start it after that, it won't. You have to push the open button again. That's how I understand it anyway. Just a small irritation but not a big problem to sort out. There's only one mod, the Wangan SPL muffler. Just a tad louder than stock. It's a really good mod for those who don't want to wake the neighbours but still want to hear a more prominent unequal length header EJ20 sound. Anyway I hope to get all those things done eventually, that is unless someone wanted to import it to their country from Japan (where I live). I'm open for negotiations as I really would like a Skyline... but this will definitely suffice in the meantime 🙂 *Disclaimer: This is how I picked it up from the dealer, minus the stuff on the back seat. I haven't cleaned the engine bay or done a thorough exterior clean, aside from spray painting the wipers.
    • Wow, even with the Audi logo centre caps. I love OEM wheel mismatches.
    • Welcome!  Can't go wrong with a Stag.
    • Looks good. Nice height.
    • Hey all, a little help from the Stagea hive mind plz.. I'm days away from buying either a 2002 Stagea 250tRS AR-X Four, premium leather, power seats and all the old switches etc that go with it, or a 2002 Stagea 250tRS VR-X Four AERO, pov pack, cloth seats etc, with coil overs, sports zorst, comes with original zorst and suspension and parts. (I think I've got the models right?) Both are VQ25DET, have 160000kms, both straight no rust both with $2000+ in recent servicing receipts, both ride on aftermarket 18" rims. The Aero has a replaced turbo as well. I like the cool factor of the Aero car but the AR-X has never been modified. Neither have been driven hardly at all in the last 5 years. Any thoughts on which one or does it come down to personal preference? davemoto
