Hehe, good to read you are knocking on the door of 49s. The easiest place to make time is obviouly turn 1, but also turn 10 and 11. Straight line it, use plenty of kerb and try not to brake a lot for turn 10, rather wash off speed in turn 10 rather then before it, turn in late and really straight line your braking for turn in to 11. Lots of good time to be made through there and its quicker then you think....but as always, baby steps, the concrete is closer then you think and i have seen cars go in :)

Those watching and epecially those competing...you all SUCK! :D

Cant wait to get out there tomorrow.

There are some crazy times being done by a lot of cars, Civic's in the 41's, 180SX in the 41's plus all the hi-po cars we expected.

Hope ALL the cars get their stuff sorted - it's going to make for some awesome viewing.

There was so many close calls on turn 1, white WRX lost it, gold crapadoor ute lost it(leaf springs puff when will people learn) spun the car back close to the left side concrete wall and somehow managed to miss it, red evo had almost the passengers side rear tire in the air.

And the s15 that lost it past turn 9

Having a blast!

Car's I am driving.

S2000 is getting faster. Hopefully do sub 40's tomorrow.

Lotus is having a couple of little issues. On the Dyno as we speak, and hopefully do sub 40's also.

Honda Civic did a 42.0 which is great for a fwd na.

Benny's Civic is Supercharged and did a 41.2 which is also awesome for a front driver.

Pulse Evo is an 8 with over 400kw atw, good diffs, tyres, light and a top steerer :)

Holy shit mate you must have been right next to the group of SAU guys at one part of the day at the last corner haha. Did you see the silver commodore near the coke stand? There was a group of us there basically all day

Had a great day, great viewing and good company.

Sooo many top notch entries. All the internationals are something else.

Unfortunately even on a good day we are 3sec away from them.

Good luck to Mark and Russ getting the 34 sorted, RIP to the 32 :)

Turn 12 is were its at boys and girls, be there!

gold crapadoor ute lost it(leaf springs puff when will people learn)... The ute actually is irs junior and runs coil springs. Wasnt doin too bad and wasnt the slowest car today. Not my car though just thought id clear that up for ya ;-)

sure, should do some investigation before, thanks for pointing that out.

Troy,,,who died and made you the expert. You forgot about the correct turn into 2 which sets up 3 so you carry great speed down the hill to 4 which sets the car up for 5 which is flat stick. enough help from me.

Go the Rotary's in the top 5,,,very cool.

Stuarts doing great,,,15th,,,I'll bet he''s happy so far.

Neil.

I'm so glad I came from Adelaide for this, having so much fun. Was good hanging out with some well known gtr guys. Can't wait for tomorrow.

David (beer baron) I'll post up the pick with u and Tarzan Sunday night when I'm back in adelaide.

Cheers.

Settle down! Nobody has died, and nobody has made me the expert. My quickest lap around there in my car is a 1:56!. :D: What i do know is that i have driven Russ's car, i know he is a good punter and i know where i found time in my car, a very similar car to his. Its only advice. Fark man! :) Turn 2 is a slow turn and you dont make time there, you can only lose it by trying to make it! :D

How about turn 1, then turn 2, 3 is pretty important that leads you into 4 which sets you up for 5 then have to get brakign sorted for 6 as that dicates your exit and then you have to think about turning for 8, which means the sooner you wind off lock then you can get back on the power for the brief blip up to 9, then 10 leads into 11 then 12...get that all right and you shoudl be close to quick! :)

yep... i was sitting right next to you guys on a picnic blanket, until there was movement, then i ran down to the fence.... heck, i even came and asked you's about the barbecue tomoz to make sure i had sorted somewhere dry to be in the morning :) haha... spose i should have introduced maself... but thats just lame...

    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
