Well i think this is the third time that i have posted a break in for my car, and guess what guys? doesnt get any easier. It seems that a factory complex with security fences and gates isnt safe to keep your car locked up in.

Some prick or pricks have had a good attempt at it this time, sound system is gone and car is in bit of a mess, wont know how much until my mechanic has a look, which cant happen until the cops finger print it, which thankfully they will be.

Car was as said, locked up at my work in Ingleburn, but i am guessing it has been worked over by someone i work with or in the neighbouring factories. Our complex was completely locked up over the weekend and you wouldnt have been able to see the car if you walked past the factory.

Anyway i will keep you all informed and let you know if the cops actually get anything or if i am proper fooked!!

i don't know of the current statistics, but from past experience and stories from the folks, I keep getting reminded that most of the time the wrongs that have been done to you are usually done by people you know and trust....

but what can you do????

hope you get the prick who stuffed your car up

Man that sucks hey!

I really hope you get teh scumbags that did this. Makes me sick that people could deliberately want to hurt somone this way hey. Same with murdering someone..but that's a different kettle of fish lol (was watching Crime Investigation Australia on the weekend)

When a car ie. car owner gets worked over this many times, the insurance company often calls an investigator to interview you.

Qs include how many keys have you got, show me the keys, what were your movements before/during/after the time of damage/theft, who do you know that knows where your car was, have you had an insurance claim before, what were those circumstances, who else in your family knows about where your car was parked, explain what security measures you have on the car. yaddayadda.

Investigators come across in a fashion as to assume you're guilty and for you to prove your innocence. They record an interview with up to 3X machines simultaneously.

Anyway, I hope that this gets cleared up without the messiness of an investigator (usually a PI in his standard role).

welcome to my world

3rd time for me too

but i am doing something about it this time :(

Just out of curiosity

what exactly are you "doing" about it.

im guessing you now know whom it is and have thought up some unsavoury way to get back at them :P

Well perhaps some good news, cops have finger printed, two prints one with gloves the other good enough to try for a match.

Fingers crossed they can catch the piece of shit.

I have tried, alarm and the works is my protection, stopped them for the third time so i guess i shouldnt be too upset.

Will keep everyone informed.

That totally sucks!! Hope the cops get a match with the prints!! My car got broken into like a month ago nd the pricks stole all my car audio stuff nd tacco nd made a heaps good mess of my car...was very upset! Cops took fingerprints but unfortunately were unlucky  Hope u have more luck then i did!! :D

Well looks like i may be able to find out who did it. Asked around a bit and one dude i knows rekons he knows exactly who did it... hopefully he isnt spinning shit.

On a interesting note, there is a group running round the Ingleburn Industrial area knocking off cars and parts out of the cars. They apparently did over a blue R34 round the same time as mine, if anyone knows who it is tell them to PM me and if i get a name, i will pass it on for you. If you know anyone round the area, tell them to keep their cars locked up tight!!

Another update when i know more and decide whether or not to go renegade on these pricks or slip the names to the police.

As wrong as it is to take the law into your own hands....slipping the name to the cops does shit all unless you can slip them a firm case with evidence and witnesses etc (basically do their job for them) - I'm sure you know a friends who knows a guy who knows a bikey gang :) just tell em they have been knocking of harlys and they will be all over em :P

but keep us posted man!

who wants to bet the cops don't do anything even if they find a match for the prints ? I'll give you 10:1 odds.

Best thing you can do for yourself, your family and your car is move to a better neighbourhood. Yes I know, not an easy thing to do but neither is putting up with crime all your life. I wouldn't live in Campbelltown or Ingleburn areas if you paid me (and I'm easily persuaded with money!!)

figjam...

why dont you install some internal screamers in different locations... maybe some 130db ones... so even if they get in, they cant bare the noise and will damage their hearing if the noise is sustained long enough...

just make sure you are careful and dont set off your alarm when in the car.. that shit hurts

He's got a lot of good options and he's very good at making tricky unique installs.

    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
    • While I was waiting for the new parts to come in for the charge pipe and radiator I decided to do some turbo modification. The drive pressure (exhaust backpressure) was a lot higher that I thought it should be. For 32lbs of boost drive was 55lbs. The turbine housing is a 1.10AR and my turbo builder has suggested to go to a 1.25AR. To test if a larger AR would do anything to reduce drive pressure AND not spend any money I decided to hog out the divider in my current housing. I removed it from the inlet and the whole way through the housing.  After reassembly and testing it doesn't look like this modification did anything for reducing drive pressure or requiring more fuel (making more power). Oh well, it was worth a shot. We'll get some data at the track if it makes it past the 60ft. I also machined a $7 shift knob off Amazon to fit my Stillway shifter since I didn't like the Stillway shift knob. Next on the list was the radiator replacement and fabrication of a new intercooler tube that had no silicon coupler. No pictures of this - I was short on time each night after work to get this done and didn't stop to take pictures.  Next was to get the clutch disks out and replaced. Previously when installing the dogbox I had ordered a set of the same sintered iron disks I had been running because I switched to the 26-spline input shaft. I thought it was odd that they didn't have any markings or brand name on them like all my old disks had but installed them anyway. At the track I could not get the clutch to lock up using my normal strategies. After two track nights I reached out to the clutch manufacturer and ask their thoughts. They said they had to switch the material out because they were having trouble getting the original material and that this new material would not take to being slipped very well.  So out with the first set of 26-spline disks and in with the correct material 26-spline disks. While I had the trans out I added an inspection/service hole. I've wanted one of these for a while. Now I can have a look at things and change the front cover shimming when needed (clutch wear). I hustled and got the clutch change done in a few hours on a Saturday. Hopped in the car and drove home. On the way home I did a 1-3 pull. When shifting from 2nd to 3rd the core plug in the back of the cylinder head popped out and dumped all the coolant. Thankfully I was only 30 seconds from home and coasted it there. Datalog showed nothing unusual and 2.5psi of coolant pressure. That plug has been in there since 1992 but I guess it worked its way out. Pulled the trans AGAIN and replaced the plug, JB welded it in, and made a brace. Also deleted the head drain I had added in during the bearing issue fiasco.  I am currently changing my boost control plumbing to make it cleaner. After that is done I'll make another attempt at getting past the 60.
