There was a green skyline (nfi what it was, andrew might know lol) that had been pulled over on the Monaro a couple of mornings ago. It was one of those pearl cars where it looked green & then pink.

that kinda sounds like the chameleon R33 that is getting about.. it seems to show up at the nats every now and then as well...

think it's gunners based..

Spotted a black r33, near spitting image of my car driving along William Hovel Drive this morn (South bound) around 9:10am.

Also spotted my r33 still sitting at home depressing me cos it aint going. Sux most cos ALL the major work want and need done to the thing is done. Just is small aesthetic things (except for the leak of water in the boot).. Runs and drives perfectly, looks great, sterio is all sorted, alarm system is all adjusted bout right now also... But got the fuel pump issue pissing me off now (partially it not working, partially my lack of time to work on it and try to sort out what the hell is wrong so I can fix it...)

At least urs can move...

But yeh tis a sad issues also, both quite frustrating. I need more time to work on this and sort it out. And then hope all will be better soon....

Ahh, but today at lunch I removed the vac line to the actuator, and still couldn't make REAL boost....barely made it to 1 bar...if everything is working correctly, I should have shot through to overboost cut quicker than you can say wtf

I too am going to go insane with this shit lol

haha...well my cat already (and has been since I got the car back after work was done for this power) makes a horrid metal vs metal vibration sound, but I'm fairly sure that it's the heat shielding on the top....I may or may not remove the exhaust from the front pipe and go for a VERY short drive this arvo to see if it's all good without that one there, but I don't know if I cbf risking it lol....

It's a ceramic cat of some kind...only strange thing about it is that it managed to flow 294.4rwkw the other week :\

Bugger mate. Damn it sux having probs that can't just work out the issue and fix em right away (and don't cos an arm and a leg).

Best wishes, and once ur ride is up again, keen to check it out.

Well failing my cat-less test this arvo, it will be going into autotech next monday for pressurised smoke through the intake test to find any leaks...and if I haven't tried dropping the cat yet, they'll also chuck her on the dyno for a run with only the dump pipe.

If it's the cat, I don't give a shit lol. Just means I gotta drive it a bit softer for a while til i replace it like I've been meaning to :D

And after speaking to Stao (Hypergear), he's assured me how unlikely it is for anything to go wrong with the turbo to cause this, short of damaging the wheels themselves - which is amazingly unlikely too. helps for peace of mind, love that guy's customer service.

    • A million years later, searching for something else I posted, I was reminded of this thread. I eventually bought a new gauge. Put it in using the same probe (which has been installed the whole time stopping the exhaust gas from coming out the hole) and.... normal service has been resumed. The old gauge was definitely broken. /semi-pointless closure.
    • They're available from Nissan! I was able to buy a GTR (R33) one.. relatively* recently. Perhaps this stopped now but I bought mine ... relatively recently. I believe the 300ZX one has a different knee-point which is more rear biased, which I think the HFM one echos.
    • Hey Team, A bit to unload here. Hello from New Zealand I have a 2009 Nissan Skyline 370GT ( Type SP ) Auto 7 Speed, that I've had since 2022 and have loved the car since. Its painted in its factory QAB ( White Pearl ) with the Impul front lip and rare boot lid/spoiler with woodgrain interior. Mods since I've bought it and installed: Stillen Gen 3 Long Tube Intakes Motordyne Shockwave Catback Exhaust JDM Skyline Taillights Fake carbon spoiler and front grill ( Will be taking off.... its cringe ) VR30DETT Transmission from the Q50/Q60 to hold up to 550 Foot pounds of Torque ( 753 nm ) reliable  Currently I plan to turbo the car and have all the parts needed ( Photo Included ), I have my tuning day set on August 8th and choosing EcuTek as my tuning platform. Two of my work colleagues has their 370Z ( Manuel ) and 370GT coupe ( Type SP - Manuel ) also turbo'd and they have inspired me to get it done I have prepped quite a wee bit for this, as I had done the VR30 transmission swap over to this car so that I can achieve my HP goals without torque being an issue. I've taken quite a cautions route, as im always thinking about the safety as well as performance with my build, I'd rather do it properly and not cut corners etc etc. Any who, I've recently picked up the AutoStrada cruise control kit with all the included cables/wires/instructions. I've been hella researching around and can't find much on the integration that it has with the ECU and/or system. the only reason why im asking is, because I'm getting EcuTek and one of them RaceRom features allows the ability to switch maps via the cruise control function, which I am currently in the grey area if this would add-on via the Canbus will allow me to switch maps or have the option to use Cruise Control to begin with ( showing up on the instrument cluster to advise Cruise Control being set etc etc )  Because of my model being Type SP, Cruise Control on these models was never an option from factory unfortunately.  Anyone here that is able to shed some light on if the Cruise Control via AutoStrada gives OEM ability over the cruise control. Would love and appreciate any response and/or assistance with this, also happy to answer any question about my build and ill try pitch in where I can. Warm Regards,
    • I thought the only (new) BM57 that was readily available was the one that was a BM57 but with the wrong bias. HFM or someone's?
