Your's is just a GTS isn't it Dayne??

How's she go as I'm actually interested in how my ride would handle against a GTS.

Yeah she is mate, i get alot of wrx's etc that always bov me though, obviously not realising it isnt a turbo.....

Mine has complete aftermarket suspension, and it handles very well, so if your going to compared to mine it isnt that stock in terms of suspension, and it has 235's on the front and 255's on the back so it grips fairly well.... going around most corners i get hardly and if any at all body roll... hope this helps

Dayne :rofl::D

Spotted:a pearl white GTST R33 with large 5 spoke Vault rims,REALLY dark tint,a "different" bodykit including wheel arch flares,blue undertray neons(sorry,but NOT my thing)and a very misplaced GTR badge on the boot.Seen twice:stationary near Ali Bab's in the city,then swinging a U turn powerslide with excessive use of the rev limiter(ummmmm,dude?SHIFT UP a gear!)at the northern end of Lonsdale Street...I'm still in two minds:on one hand,I love hearing an RB winding up,but I'm leaning more towards the "TWAT: Driving Skool of the Fully Sik" condemnation of said actions and demeaning of a certain badge.Being on the GTST isn't the problem;I like GTST's.Being on anything other than it's intended vehicle is NOT cool...and driving stupidly in front of young,impressionable bogans aint hot,either!

spotted, me going the opposite way to Nik last night at 9 just before the Lanyon shops, with a passenger and im guessing as you were coming of Knoke av. it was Ewan, i could'nt really see properly, whoever it was must have dropped something in Nik's lap and was picking it up with his teeth.

and a red R33 came boosting hard into Lanyon shops just before 9 looked pretty awesome, big chromies, kit and a bit of boogie under the hood also me thinks, but it may have even been one of the pink ones getting around (the light was bad)

skylvia: the blue skyline you referred to is Andrew's (SkyGTRline)

here's a pic of it: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/photopost...&cat=500&page=1

mine is the red R33 next to it, and the guy blatantly walking in front of the camera is also andrew (supaflyskyline)

spotted a hot yellow r34 parked in civic this morning, no wing, and a really cool front bar with vents on the sides, (well it looked like vents anyway) maybe this feature is standard on a 34?? in any case it looks hot......Also a white line on the monaro @noonish, nice body kit.....just came back from 2 weeks in the gold coast hinterland on a work course, only saw about 5 lines, but did see 1 line, 1 rx7 and a ute being closely scrutinised by the cops, the bonnets were up and they were crawling underneath as well. two of them were on the side of the highway, and the other was parked in Ronald Macdonalds car park.

one silver stagea (YDJ-xxx... whozat??) following a nice maroon 33gtst pass subway in fyshwick midday-ish. a white 33gtst w/ gold bbs lm's in the domayne carpark and some wannabe drift dick in a black 32 with no bumper, mismatching pannels and NSW rego jump a gutter sideways (and on a blind corner) on lyell st fyshwick *sigh*. i hope nobody here is that stupid. fine he may have banged up his line a bit and i don't care about that, but what if he'd hit some poor old lady or an l-plater or some shit. i don't mind people who have a "liberated" view of the limit of the law when it comes to driving, within reason, but some people are just plain dicks. no wonder we skyline people have a bad name....

    • @Haggerty you still haven't answered my question.  Many things you are saying do not make sense for someone who can tune, yet I would not expect someone who cannot tune to be playing with the things in the ECU that you are.  This process would be a lot quicker to figure out if we can remove user error from the equation.
    • If as it's stalling, the fuel pressure rises, it's saying there's less vacuum in the intake manifold. This is pretty typical of an engine that is slowing down.   While typically is agree it sounds fuel related, it really sounds fuel/air mixture related. Since the whole system has been refurbished, including injectors, pump, etc, it's likely we've altered how well the system is delivering fuel. If someone before you has messed with the IACV because it needed fiddling with as the fuel system was dieing out, we need to readjust it back. Getting things back to factory spec everywhere, is what's going to help the entire system. So if it idles at 400rpm with no IACV, that needs raising. Getting factory air flow back to normal will help us get everything back in spec, and likely help chase down any other issues. Back on IACV, if the base idle (no IACV plugged in) is too far out, it's a lot harder for the ECU to control idle. The IACV duty cycle causes non linear variations in reality. When I've tuned the idle valves in the past, you need to keep it in a relatively narrow window on aftermarket ecus to stop them doing wild dances. It also means if your base idle is too low, the valve needs to open too much, and then the smallest % change ends up being a huge variation.
    • I guess one thing that might be wrong is the manifold pressure.  It is a constant -5.9 and never moves even under 100% throttle and load.  I would expect it to atleast go to 0 correct?  It's doing this with the OEM MAP as well as the ECU vacuum sensor. When trying to tune the base map under load the crosshairs only climb vertically with RPM, but always in the -5.9 column.
    • AHHHH gotchaa, I'll do that once I am home again. I tried doing the harness with the multimeter but it seems the car needed a jump, there was no power when it was in the "ON" position. Not sure if I should use car battery jump starter or if its because the stuff that has been disconnect the car just does send power.
    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
