Will A Baby Seat Fit In Gtr Models?

As the title says, will the GTR models accomodate a baby seat?

I have never been in any of the models but am considering buying one.

From the look of pic it doesnt seem there is much less space between the back and front seats compared to my XT Forester.

This is what an Eddi Bauer seat looks like in my R34 Coupe, should be the same as the R34 GTR

Forward facing, no probs at all, done it many times.

You might fit a capsule in, but one of those reversible seats facing backwards, no chance.

I have a baby seat permanently in the gtr. It's now part of the car

I've regularly had 2 in the 32 GTR. Both forward facing type.

The joys of haveing kids 18mnths apart :-)

Yeah I have a 2.5 year old and another due in April, so need to consider this.

Anyone know for certain if a capsule would fit for a new born?

You will almost certainly be able to fit a capsule in on the passenger's side as long as the passenger's seat is as far forward as it can go. Doesn't give the front passenger much leg room, but hey, it can be done

My wife is only about 5' 6", so doesnt need a lot of leg room.

I have to say that even in the back of my Foz a baby seat is a tight fit.

forward facing no worries. backward facing is a squeeze but still ok. (r32 gtr) jsut drove from Melb to adelaide and back with three adults, one six month old and one backward facing babyseat. squeezy but no worries.

Unless it's a 3 wheeler with stupidly large wheels, you should be fine.

Yeah I guess the back is another concern. Niether of us have back problems though.

I remember when my son was first born I owned a Verada and we hired one of those plastic baby capsules. It was so hard even in the Verada to get it in and out that I tore it out after about 6 weeks!!

How's your back tho' lifting your baby in-&-out of a 2-door?

Unless the baby is a monster, you put your left foot on the floor in the rear, lean in, away you go, shouldn't be too hard.

I know this is an old thread. But can someone with a 32gtr recommend a baby seat that fits easy? Forward facing is fine. Pictures will be great. Thanks in advance. And the locking points as well.
