Hey ppl on sau, I'm bout to purchase a apexi fc and controller for the first time and don't know much about it

what requirements do I need to it run smooth. A mate of a mate said the I need to change fuel pump injectors and all that stuff to have a power fc and running 10 psi boost i curently got 3.5 inch exhaust hybrid front mount pod

filter etc

so my question is :

1. What do I need to run smooth etc injectors what size what fuel pump

2. Where is the best place to have it turned

should I get all this stuff for it to save future tuneing or should the power fc run fine on stock components . I have seacherd this site bout apexi fcs and it hasn't answers my question yet so if any one can help me I will be muchly appriciated :)

cheers guys and gals

wouldn't really gain power by doing that running 10PSI

You would only need to change your injectors when they've hit their max duty cycle at higher boost & changing the fuel pump to supply the fuel requirements of the bigger injectors

at the moment to run 10PSI with stock injectors/AFM/fuel pump is completely fine.

you would only need to change the fuel pump if you're car is leaning out because of a faulty old pump

The ecu is just there to be able to tune and change settings there is no minimum requirement of what you need to run it, it can be tuned to run on whatever you, but if your car is leaning out hiting injector duty or afm maxing out than thats a different story you need to upgrade those things to keep going but yeah as you said 10psi with your mods keeping the stock parts and power fc will be fine , maybe just chucking it on the dyno to check you af ratios to be sure.

I know it sounds a bit rude and your money is yours to spend but why were you contemplating buying something that you don't know the basics of what it does / the purpose it serves? It's sounds like you've read a few mod lists and decided you want a Power FC because these people have made x amount of power and this is one of their mods. Highly recommend a little researching of how aftermarket ECUs like the Power FC work - this question you've posted is a good start but it sounds to me like something you just want because you think it'll bring you power. An issue at hand is that you will end up purchasing things that don't meet or are overkill for your requirements...resulting in some disappointment down the track. I recommend deciding on what your goal/requirement is and then asking yourself/others the question of how to get there. Cheers.
