M35 better? OoooKkkkkAaaaaaYyyyy :)

If I was to retire, you know, get old and wrinkly, then yes, I'd most likely get a M35. Also if I lost my balls to the missus and was legally castrated oops I mean married, then yes, I'd get a M35.

But if you want to actually DRIVE a car, and enjoy it, then there's no substitute to the S1 260RS

Sure they are a little older. Sure they don't have the fancy leather interior, but come on. If your prepared to spend some $$$ you can end up with a vehicle that's totally sponge worthy.

I'll have to do a Google search and see if the side effects of testicle removal result in suffering from delusions ...

I think I prefer the M35 series in general. Newer, a bit more stylish.

Not only because I own one, but I'm the only one in the area that has one. (to my knowledge)

The C34's are quite common around here, not quite like a Commonwhore, but they are seen daily.

I still like the C34's, they have a unique shape to them, and the R34 front end conversions look the part.

Performance wise, I cannot comment. Only driven a few M35's (Axis, 250t and ARX) all of them seemed the same to me.

ahh. this thread is stupid. A M35 owner isn't going to say the C34 is better. 1. Becuase the M35 is more expensive. 2. They bought the M35 cuase they prefer it. A C34 owner on the otherhand..)mind you alot of you guys purchased them when they were at the same going rate as a M35 is now).... is most likly not goin to say the M35 is better.

Me, Personally. I bought a C34 Series 2 becuase i thought it looked much better. And...I still do, buying it has only convinced me that i am happy with the choices i made. Even after the insurance payout, I opted again for a C34 and not a M35. But for me, i do want to modify my C34, and i love the fact that parts and what not are much more so readily available, and servicable by numerous reputable mechanics. I also found that with my last series 2, i was able to get 10-12L per 100km consistently, so buying a M35 for better fuel consumption was viod in my mind.

For me, it was the looks of the series 2. I'll be honest and say i dont like the series ones, i GENERALLY dont like m35's, though When they are tastfully modified they do look great.

brunettes are better

I'm with you Duncan. However I do love the S1 C34, especially as I now have a front facing plenum and an fmic.

Seriously M35 in whatever form still have that arse ugly rear end and VOLVO tail lights. No wonder Nissan stopped making them.

Boxy is better.

which is better.. ca18 or sr20?

Well one son has a 225kw CA18 drifter, he is allowed turbo, just got No 2 son a nice N/A S13 manual

A good SR will take a lot of beating though.

Some of the Sil drivers are now going RB and RS for the powa!

Nissans are interesting to fiddle with.

If your not that crash hot at spelling yourself, then why is there a need to belittle someone else over it. I hate keyboard warriors.

My 'Inaccurate'. Are you going to say a C34 is better? No. You and i'm sure almost every other M35 owner would have bought one (M35) because they thought it was superior. Every C34 owner, in most cases excluding financial ( level playing field so we will exclude the 260rs aswell) would have bought a C34 becAUse they thought it was superior or the M35 wasn't a vaiable option at the time.

Its a usless topic/thread becuase you ask.. What is better..and why? That's; like others have stated, up to personal opionion. What is Abnormal? Is there really abnormal or is that object, normal and everything else normal in it's own way?

You could do a poll to find out which is better, but then the results would be biased becuase of differing populations of owners ( ie. 10 C34 owners, 2 M35 etc etc ).

At least you got a good response and have kept me from pure boredom tonight.. I thank you.

OK then!

I sort of get what you are saying......you made a good pointless KW!!

FFS!!! I couldn't give a shit what you or anyone else can afford or not afford(price was never stated in the thread topic)... e.g If I really wanted it I could buy an R35(would have to sell the house though.....not sure how the wife would take it  )....but no....I still prefer the R32 GTR because its a classic....and yes I have driven all models.

Why would I exclude model's like the RS260?....well then lets exclude every M35 bar the VQ25DE 2WD 4 speed auto model!

Whats your problem mate?...you looking for an argument!...I guess there's one in every thread aye....this time it's you Scott!

P.S. A little heads up...if you think the thread is stupid then don't post in it....makes you look stupid! Your original second and third paragraph was good....Pity about the first paragraph.....you added nothing constructive.....and you obviously got the reaction you were looking for!!!.....I'll have to remember to shoot down the next thread you start.

You twat. Perhaps becuase the RS260 is the benchmark model C34. The M35 VQ25DET is it's latter model counterpart. Where is the GTR engine M35? Mate, im not the only one shotting your thread down. Its silly asking to compare. Lets all compare whos got bigger sticks next time?

"P.S. A little heads up...if you think the thread is stupid then don't post in it....makes you look stupid!"- Yes it makes me look stupid.

"lol....me a keyboard warrior???....mate you are barking up the wrong tree big time...." You answerd your own question here...

"FFS!!! I couldn't give a shit what you or anyone else can afford or not afford." Right this is why I said exclude finances because The owner has made up his mind on what he is goin to buy; "would have bought a C34 becAUse they thought it was superior". Where do i say-In that sentence, 'wouldve have bought a C34 becuase they couldn't afford a M35'. Your hole topic was never about finances and i tried keeping it that way. But some *******8 put his foot right in his own shit- "If I really wanted it I could buy an R35". I persnally don't want to hear people big noting themselves on a internet forum. Nor do i want to see people belitteling others(See below). Such as YOU with the whole spelling. What, you didnt expect a reactment. ( Do you come from a manegerial role? ;) )

"but it's Because and cause....not Becuase and cuase.....I know there's a Emoticon for this"... "Whats your problem mate?...you looking for an argument!".- I guess you baited the hook, i took the bait, ran of with your hook and now your a little upset. I Sir, Do not like you. You started this, accept responsibility.

Oh. And you still havn't proven why this comment is innaccurate- ""A M35 owner isn't going to say the C34 is better"."

    • I finally got it on the dyno today and luckily it stayed in one piece! It wasn't without its dramas though. First off, sent my power steering belt to the moon around the third pull. Scared me half to death. Tuner laughed and mentioned that often happens with RB's... I may need to look into adding the Ross power steering idler, or something a long those lines.  Second issue that came up was about 2 hours in, we realized the VCT wasn't working and had to go back through the timing and knock threshold once it was fixed (I had botched setting up VCT). That waisted a good hour or so. I was surprised to see that with VCT working, we saw a ~38rwkw difference across the powerband. More then I would of expected.  Without further ado, made 463rwkw@27psi. Not the numbers I originally set out after, but still more then enough to kill myself and I'm very happy. Mustang roller dyno's are known to be heart breakers compared to other dyno's. Two things that limited me, first was the hydraulic lifters/7600rpm cut. Tuner was adamant that I was losing out on a lot of power up top because of it. Second was the pump gas & WMI. He wasn't 100% comfortable tuning with WMI, and was honest about it. He stated he's more confident on E85/Race gas. I look at this as a positive as it leaves me a lot of room for improvement. All in all, very happy! I need to see what I can do about that rev limiter... I use to rev my stock RB20 to 8000rpm and now I have a fully built head that I only rev to 7600... It's bugging me.  Don't mind my fantastic picture/filming skills.  RB28 - Dyno (1).mp4

    • The best setting for street is what gives the best tyres wear for your driving style Different tyres like different camber You want the whole surface of the tread to wear flat, if the inside of the tyre is wearing more than the outside reduce camber settings For toe, have the minimum amount to give the handling you want Caster, from my experience if you can adjust it, is as much as you can get without clearance issues And while -2.5° of camber on the front might work well with good tyres for "spirited" cornering, it may be too much for a street car Lots of front camber will effect braking Just like to much rear camber will effect rear traction (rwd), and braking  When I set my Bogan Cruise Ship (VX SS) up for drags I tested how much tyre width I actually had in the rear by doing a hard launch (skid), it originally had -1.5° in the rear, and you could see that the tyre wasn't putting down alot of the tread, I maxed out the settings to get as little camber as I could with the OEM adjustment and some camber bushings and got it down to just under -0.5° with 0 toe, that gave me a fair bit more "rubber on the road" and helped it hook up for my 60' and my 0-100kph And with -1.5° in the front the big old boat handles fine on the street and my tyre wear is nice and even on both front and rear tyres (currently Hankook RS4's) As for semi slicks at the track, again, it depends on alot more IRT the suspension, the track and lots of other things, so, I'll leave that up to people who have more experience, especially with a AWD In saying this, street settings are pretty easy, just look at the tyre wear Meh, Necro thread, it's late at night, and I has been drinking beer
