Gotta love em...

which is to reduce the road toll and the incidence of road trauma.
On Tuesday the 20th of April 2010, Operation „Pipedown,‟ targeting excessively noisy motor vehicles
Excessive noise is a serious environmental problem impacting health and well-being. The effects of this excessive noise should not be trivialized.

lol. Yes, it should be.

In combination with a focus on excessively loud motor vehicles, the focus will also be towards safety related offences. Offences such as: Drink Driving, Roadworthy Offences, Fail to Wear Seat Belt, Fail to Give Signal, Use Hand Held Mobile Phone While Driving.

Secondary to the dangerous loud noise..

Are they going on your car or a gtr? Will require a fair bit of work to get on there.. You'll need stretched tyres etc.

Im not a big fan of those wheels, but they are pretty cool.

I want these when I return from my holiday

any other sites to look for rims beside import monster? i would yahoo japan it up.. but cant read that shit..

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Vo...tml&hl=volk spotted these as well hrmm O.o?

excluding tyres gogogo! or i duno how much should i be spending?

dunno i try to spend about 2.5k on rims max inc tyres... but 3k should get you some brand spanker XD9's 18x10 +18 from the getgo in any finish you want.

also 19" or 18"?

if you're serious, then tell me how much clearance inwards and outwards you get on your car sitting at the height you want with the suspension you have.

to do this, take your wheel off, get a straight piece of wood, drill two holes so that you can bolt it to two hub bolts, ziptie/stickytape a ruler to it perpendicular to the stick at roughly half the diameter of the wheel you wanna fit plus an inch to allow for tyres, then spin the wheel to see if the ruler hits anything. If the ruler doesn't hit anything, then measure the distance on the ruler. If it does hit something, then move the ruler and try again. This will give you the inner clearance from the hub (measurement a).

Then do the same, but keep the ruler at the highest point on the spin and take a measurement out to the fender. This is your outer clearance (measurement b).

Now:

a+b = your max rim width in mm

((a+b)/2) - b = offset in mm

This way you'll end up with the perfect offset or something close enough to what you need. All cars are different, as they'll run different suspensions at different heights.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
