Yeah, I was just testing the black bonnet to see how it would look. I don't think it needs it.

I already have the black/chrome lip SSRs ordered. Clear indicators are done.

Same front bar and similar sideskirts.

Will get a TRD wing (similar to that) and then a nice rear to finish off.

If I get bored with red then I'll do a full respray later on. Fitment/spray of just the kit will only be like $1000 or so.

Sounds like a plan

I think I like it better than black on black.

Red with black wheels and polished lip = Nice!

Instead of creating another "what panel shop" thread, I'll ask here...

Where should I go to get the kit fitted and sprayed?

First priority is quick turnaround, because I need the car to get to work.

Should I trust DT Panels? lawl.

dont man, get a respray based on quality

most companies can do a proper paintjob and fitment.... but it will cost

from what ive heard DT's does cheapish jobs for most people, if you spend the extra youll get a better job (yet i dunno 100% cause they arnt who i go to)

edit: and jezza dont get a quick job, make sure its done properly or expect to pay twice when it f**ks up a few years down the track

Try bayside autostyling. Think they are also cheap and from their project pictures it looks good. Go check them out. If you want a PROPER paintjob and bodykit fitment go see Sam at PAC.

I heard reallyyyy bad things about them, from a guy that used to work there and quit because of the way they treated the cars.

Apparently they just rip off door trims, chuck them on the ground etc....

And other people have told me that they did burnouts in the cars.

I dunno whether it's all true, but I guess they can't do much harm when fitting a kit.

They charge $1500 for a full respray (colour change) so bodykit fitment must be cheap as chips.

haha yea you said cheap so i suggested them, i wouldnt take my car to them lol. But seriously get a quote from Sam at PAC

what's wrong with the supra?

It's for sale. I have a maxed out credit card and $197 left in my bank account after wheel money is put aside.

And rego is coming up soon lol..

So basically I won't be spraying anything until the Supra is gone

Niggaroj got quoted 10k by micolour for his r33 in the standard r33 black. now that woulod be quality

you'd be mad to do that unless its a fk off show car nobody needs a 10k paint job on a daily car. Especially when the car is worth 10k at best

is everything ready to go and have you got cash money ready to pay now? might ask our painter if he can fit in a job before we shut up shop.

1 day for dropoff/dismantling, 2 days for prep (if you're using fibreglass cos that shit never lines up), 1 day for paint, 1 day to reassemble. drop it off monday you'll have it on friday.

We're not cheap though.

I don't... we have a guy that does paint and panel at the shop, Shane. It's all he gets paid to do. He's currently finishing off all the outstanding jobs atm... including CR34M

    • HELP   Hey all, Is there an accelerator cable from another Nissan that can be used on the R33 GTST RB25DET with a Greddy forward facing plenum?  Thanks in advance  Rob
    • Or do we think it was installed to give 1 bar of boost max, all day, everyday?
    • So could it be assumed it has been installed intentionally with potentially a power FC boost controller kit?
    • Had my rig on Matt's dyno at PITS the other day. After a few years between tunes I added a few sensors and swapped intercoolers. Result. 553hp at 26psi. Not bad for an FJ20 that was built in 2007. The problem.. It filled the overflow bottle on hard runs which leads me to believe the head gasket isn't sealing. I have a coolant pressure sensor which was reading cap pressure at 22psi and occasionally overrunning to 23/24 psi on deceleration after a pull. It was not spiking. It has arp2000 head studs and a cometic gasket. As its been 18 years in service, I pulled the engine out and head off. Everything looks good but we obviously have an issue. Where I'm at.. Years ago I had the same issue, I checked the stud tension and they were all over the place. Some at 60 to 70 and some up near 90. I nipped them all to 100ft lbs and this stopped the water push until now. I believe this compromised the gasket back then. What do I do? 2 options are..  1) I bought arp 625+s, which I could put in with a new gasket. Thinking Kameari this time, reassemble and try again. 2) strip the block, get fire rings machined in with copper gasket and try that. I do not want to push it more than 28 to 30psi. I think the turbo will be out by then anyway. (G30-770). My other concern is the long term ability of a copper head gasket. Are they streetable for years? I feel like a new gasket with the new studs will probably suffice, but I don't know. Any thoughts welcome and advice on copper gaskets and fire rings. Thanks!
    • I'm a fan of the JZX110, and the Aristo. Big cruiser cars, and with the factory cars, super comfortable and feel like you're driving an armchair! And the JZ motors are a pretty nice engine too, especially with some basic mods.   The import process, and the need to be able to trust people, and the fact there's so many scammers around is what ever puts me off wanting to go through that ordeal!
