Pretty sure thats my 'odd one out' (my only half decent tyre)

Ecsta SPT KU31...does a good job. Just have to replace the other 3 cheap Fullrun compliance tyres lol

please tell me you're not running the odd tyre on the front passenger wheel on a GTR.

Front driver side. Given that one of the tyres I HAD pretty much popped just before i hit eastlink a few months ago...i kinda had to replace the piece of shit. make matters worse the stupid japanese battery then died and i had to pay almost 200 for the only battery that would fit...and a further 10 to change the terminals to fit... it ended up being almost 500 on just a tyre and a battery in the week where i didnt get paid. so...bite me for having to do what i had to to get the car going again rather than replacing all four :(:P

what type of battery? bit steep for a normal one

i just got quoted $300 for an optima one (has like gel inside istead of water and gives heaps of cca)

its sort of longer and flatter rather than taller. Its called a FullRiver? meant to be really good for running excessive car audio and shit. was about 180. needed something that could fit in the battery cavity...especially given we had no tools at all to take the rear strut brace off...

lol way to overreact. as long as it's not the passenger one, it's where the anti slip sensor is most sensitive and usually something like a good tyre on that compared to three shagged tyres will make your GTR constantly think you're doing epic skids.

part of the reason we opted to have it towed rather than try the epically shit spare they give you. for one its based off of the 17" stockies, the car is currently running 18x9.5...so the spare was smaller. didnt wanna chance it. had total cover with RACV at the time as well, luckily :( free towing ftw!

What's happening tonight?

Is it just me... or does it seem like everyone drives like a dickhead on fridays? I had 2 commodores and a 7 series beamer muck around (on the freeway no less) while I was driving >.<

shan i will hit you up when i need tyres, it seems because my car had been sitting for probably about a year + not doing anything in japan there is some small cracks in the tyres.. traction tyres suggested to get it replaced ASAP but kinda thinking they just want me to spend more money there.. as they are really only small cracks I might take some pics.

Anyways cheers all for the info

EDIT:

BC COILOVERS FTMFW, sooo much less bumpy then my brutal teins were, they feel sooo much better for a daily driver and no knock ftw.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
