Yeah still there unfortunately....Another 4-5 months and I should be gone though....Start my sparky pre-app on Monday

Got offered a contract at Schweppes but knocked it back, pre-app is full time so I'll need to be doin a few night shifts for the next 4 months, then hopefully gone forever!

P.S Still dying.

Awesome man! Where are you doing your pre-app? When your done the pre-app and looking for work, let me know I'll see if work will take another apprentice on, but we just took a new apprentice on so it's not promising.

370 degrees/victec..

One of my mates is pretty sure he can hook me up when I'm done so I should be ok, but I'll keep your offer in mind as well :thanks:

I did mine there. Wasn't too bad, yet that was 8 years ago  Might have changed a fair bit since then.

What sort of work does your mate do?

Maybe someone in the wastelands will know this.

Before my diff died i realised that the car was driving much slower, as in getting bull boost by 5000Rpm :s felt a lot slower. so question is, if your diff is still working, (as in car moving) can a f**ked diff have a power loss at the wheels?

He's a 3rd year working through 370....he's injured at the moment though so not working

Ahh so you mean you'd work for Victec? (Or whatever they're called now?) lol. I did my apprenticeship with them too, but was kept on the entire time by the same company.

Had to work today too, looks like I'll be doing a 20-odd day stint without a day off :)

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
