I would go see Mick to see what he reckons. Because since you have the factory pearl paintjob you have to spray whole quarter and then try to make the pearl flow through the whole side. If that can't be done then the whole side of the car must be reaprayed

im after some super mega help please peoples. before christmas i said how i has someone hit the side of my car and need it fixed well im not sure where to take it i was thinking micolour but they are so far away so i was wondering if anyone knows another very good place a bit closer to me ( im from sunbury) and knows how to match midnight purple II. i got some pics of the damage, you can see that the plastic light shroud is cracked and broken but i have a new one that just needs to be painted. so if anyone knows or is good with this stuff please let me know. thanks.

oh god i hope not that will be so expensive. if thats the case ill have to go through my insurance to make it cheaper.

Might be a stupid question but have you tried cut and polishing it? just to see how much it does actually remove for a better look into it?

no i actually havnt and this is going to sound stupid but what do i buy and i actually dont technically know how to do it lol.

that would be great mate and if he cant fix it at least he could point me in the right direction and tell me what needs to be done.

just go to like autobarn or super cheap auto and ask for a fine/medium cutting compound

even if you do use a course one its going to need to be repaired anyway

in other news this is win

ok will do. and yes that 32 4 door is awesome i saw it before on facebook

Splitfires came today and are in, seems like I have more power overall now - and that was in the wet so the 4wd system sucking some juice sending power the the front wheels.

Still a little late on hitting boost and I'm pretty convinced theres no leaks, maybe I have different turbos or something but will get the mechanic to check things out when I get 100k service done.

Tomei cam gears came today as well with 4 stickers (2 in each pack) :O if anyone wants one let me know

And above cars are SEXY MOMMAS

So the Splitfires really did make a difference..?

Although I have driven a R32 GTR with OEM coilpacks which was about 5 years ago... I don't recall the power increase... Or I am just use to driving with my Splitfires.

yeah i dont see why splitfires would increase power unless your others were that shagged and were misfiring non-stop

you shouldnt gain power going from std coilpacks to aftermarket ones, at least i wouldnt expect so

May increase the power but minimal that you can hardly notice...

Supposedly Splitfires give better spark?

yeah if the old ones are toast then you would notice better driving

spark doesnt make power

air and fuel do

change the ratio and you make more (or less) power

spark is just an ancillary to the mix

Yeah... To a point.

You still need 'Spark' to get power... I assume the bigger / better the spark, more so, the car runs smoother, rather then more powerful.

Well I really did notice a change, probably because the old ones were a bit rooted, feels a lot better to drive

Maybe its the splitfire sticker I put on my air deflector.. +10kw :P

You maybe right Leigh...

What I was trying to say was, I got so use to my Splitfires, it just feels normal...

dunno bout that but he did do an awesome job and paint matched it perfectly. i think its worth a try atleast, before he takes it in a panel shop and spends $11ty

I should buy that.

disappoint.

Looks awesome Nick!

You should have kept your R32...

you can make anything look decent with a bit of $$$

dont encourage him :P

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
