yeah mate here is the link the pics are shit compared to seeing and hearing this thing in person.

http://www.carsales....20903&silo=1011

is this place somewhere near ringwood?

some exhaust place? i remember seeing it when i went to do my epa noise test, but it might be a different car, just curious.

Definitely wasn't a cockfest in there. So much talent!

I reckon bring less cocks next time though. Group of 3 ftw. 5+ is a bit much.

Less does make it easier if the goal is to try and pickup teh ladies.

the place is in south melbourne. yeah i took it for a spin drives very nice.

i dunno 'birds' these guys said they havnt had this car for long but they get there cars from some bmw dealers so it might have been advertised elsewhere.

Maybe they had another silver M3 a while ago and I'm confusing it with this one? Or it could have been a 330CI, because at the time I was checking out M3s and 330s. I definitely recognise the place in the background, so it's either the same car or just the same place.

that's way too much for a SMG with almost 100Ks...

there was a black manual one on carsales also had 100Ks on it was only asking 42K or so for it. don't pay any more than 45K for a e46 m3 unless it's less than 70K and manual.

Most of their pictures are taken in the same spot. Most likely confusing it with something else. Because my mates one, in the add, was parked in the exact same spot, it was a silver 320ci.

yeah it was way too much and with on road costs it would come to 51k. most of them ive seen have very high kays and are still asking alot of money for them.

Billy - got a few quotes for full tune.

Racepace said 800-900

And Trent said 750 ( extra 100 for gtr cos of the front drive shaft) and his going to keep it a couple of days so he can do cold start tune as well.

So yeah booked in :D

easy way to save yourself 100 dorra

drop your own front drive shaft XD

buy a silvia if you wanna go sideways. the suspension design is much better suited to it.

buy a GTR if you wanna go fast.

buy a GTSt if you're broke and wanna go fast.

:rofl2:

Yeah after running a 12.6 basically stock as a rock I'm sure my bro is kicking himself for putting money into his GTST

But meh, thats just drags circuit is fun as well :D

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
