Post edited to remove pointless dribble about nitto's as I failed to notice he is after ghey 19's

Joeyjoejoe: Yes starting to regret the 19's now... bought when car was essentially stock with no major plans for upgrading it... they look the bizz but makes finding tyres (especially affordable tyres) much harder...

I'm just shocked at how laggy the car is. 5000rpm to get to 18psi? Something is not right there.

Federal SS for all round performance, or KU36s for the dry.

Yes i thought something was wrong from looking at that sheet as well, but couldn't feel it on the road - I tested it on the road this morning - full boost well before 4500rpm so its just obviously either the ramp rate on the dyno or the way the operator put (or didn't put) his foot down!

Just goes to show that dyno charts need to be taken with a grain of salt...

been around for a while now... i run them every now and then in my drift car. with 310 rwkw and aggressive boost and torque curve it doesnt wheel spin in any gear in a straight line... pretty grippy tyre! they also work well from cold and dont require much heat to get them performing.

you cant be serious about the nankangs, they are good for a burnout and thats about it.

ime dead serious. they are great for what they are and the price, they perform good against better branded stuff. i work in a tyre shop and most people cant aford $400 $500 dollar tyres that do no klms.

there after a good alrounder. if it was a track car it would be different.

but ime not saying there good against some of the other stuff.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
